The cowls of an Air-India Boeing 747-237B reflect the early morning sunshine over Ireland, en route to London, as the first stop to New Delhi and Bombay in 1990. This aircraft, VT-EFU (Krishna Deva Raya) enjoyed a long career with the Indian carrier before succumbing to the scrapper's torch; the cockpit section still exists somewhere in Mumbai.
An early morning glimmer of blue sky before it started to rain. There were robins on the overhead wires puffed up like kernels of popcorn....and just as noisy. My art table is ready for me. Coffee in a new cup as yet to be decided on its efficiency...a square cup? And plans for the day noted in my composition journal. Fabric and paint will have equal time today regardless of the weather outside.

The big western grandstand was only finished in 2010, and now the tent-like stands on the other side, as well as the red stand with the two towers, have been demolished and replaced by modern pavilions to match the western one. The red-roofed buildings in the foreground are the tennis stadium and the gym, which were not altered
Fog outside thick as pea soup. Sounds are muffled from the bluff except for the far away lone fog horn. I'm ready to start today's artwork.
