The great thing about taking shots of people in cafés is that they can’t get out a there… before you’ve moved on!
I bought a used Sony A7 camera. I wanted to have the experience of shooting full frame.
This was the first shot that seemed ok to post!
I need to keep at it to get more used to using the camera with the 50mm lens, which is the only one I have right now... but watch this space!
I may just end up a gear head like some of my friends!!
I took this from the window of our flat in Düsseldorf.
We’ve now moved to our small cottage in the Eifel to stay for as long as necessary!
Here we have a garden and open countryside... but I’m already missing the city.
Take greatest care everyone, stay safe, and keep shooting and posting!
I looked at this young woman through the widow, she was having lunch! I smiled and aimed my camera at her!
Amazingly she was smiling when I looked at the shot!
I then went into the restaurant to show her the photograph. We talked for some time...not only about photography. She asked me to send her the shot... which I’ve now done!
The great thing about street photography is that you never know who you will meet or what stories you going to hear!
I think it a wonderful view about the countryside in Taiwan even the photo is a little blurr due to high speed train ❤️ The farmhouses in the courtyard are rural characteristics, but they are rare.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS to all my friends on Flickr🎄🌟🎄. This is a guy unknown to me, who lifted his glass and smiled when I pointed the camera,in his direction:))
Again a shot from the seminar room at 7.30 am. It was even darker and colder than when I posted 'early.start. Number 1.'😳
Lost, alone and afraid the weary traveller spots a distant light through the deep dark woods. The cottage lurks, almost buried in undergrowth, and strange and terrifying sights can be glimpsed through the ivy-encrusted windows...
I believe this is a Northern Bullocks Oriole, a rare sight in southern Arizona. I think that in 20 years in Arizona I saw only 2 or 3 of these beautiful creatures.
Lockdown is easing off slightly over here so I took a quick trip to Celle to shake off the cobwebs. I must admit it was hard to 'see' a good opportunity after being inactive for so long, but something kicked in within seconds of seeing this scene and I got another addition to my handful of keepers from the day.
Thanks for taking the time to view my image. Your comments, faves & constructive criticism are greatly appreciated.
Eyes, ears and nose keep the coyote always aware of his sur-roundings. His hearing is sharper than that of dogs.
This shot shows the harbour in the city of Neuss' Castra Novesia' which was founded 2,000 years ago and is located on the river Rhine opposite to Düsseldorf.
Autumn's glory captured from my kitchen window. This is the good part of autumn, however I've been raking autumn leaves for days and they are still coming down.
When I can get close enough to use it, this is my favorite wild life lens. I bought if off EBay. This lens will not focus on a "Z model" mirrorless camera.
A medium-sized predator that likes to fly fifteen feet or so above the ground, zipping through the branches of trees with ease and surprising small bird and doves.
Our kind neighbor gave us a unique bird feeder. It has 6 delicate tea cups on saucers attached to a wheel that is suspended from the patio roof. I am taking photos of birds that come for the seeds in the cups. From inside the house I shoot through a window. This cactus wren is one of my favorite shots so far. It really isn't in the cup but on the other side of it. The fuzzy thing sticking up in the back is its tail, out of focus. Thanks to one and all who stopped to look at this photo or to comment.
the sky got my attention first .....then the scene

Need You More than Ever..
From one of our upstairs window. Being above it ya can't really tell the depth of the snow. We just spent the day watching it come down.
The Way I Am : Ingrid Michaelson the song I can't quit singing lately.
This is what i got by trying to take photos of Christmas lights in the Santa Fe Plaza at night from a moving car. Not what I expected, but at least a curiosity. As Vernon Davis puts it: "Life is all about the unexpected."
This is a shot from the archives. It is the view I got from my bedroom window of a portion of the pond on our farm in Pennsylvania.
The pond was about an acre in size. It was an endless source of interest to our family. In this shot it is beginning to freeze for the first time. Once the ice was thick enough we would get out the skates and have a great time.
