This window in Chichester Cathedral contains glass from Lorraine. I tried to get a little bit close-up to capture more detail.

This earth is still being created by the Father, divine creative energy, still extending the incarnation of the Son, divine redemptive energy. On this earth, the Holy Spirit, the energy of love, is always celebrating a liturgy of praise. This ever-recurring liturgical act is comprised of all that nature shows us—seasons, growth, death, new life, rainbows, storms—each with its own unique form of beauty. The world of nature presents us with a variegated splendor greater than any we can imagine, a pageant of divine life all around us. Adoration is our way of responding to this epiphany of God in matter. Our adoration is not simply an action on our part. It is a hymn to the delicate beauty of the cosmos, a recognition of its exquisite holiness. We keep noticing that all of nature is nothing less than an ostensorium that perpetually displays God’s presence.

Another find where I could photo windows through a window. Had to take it from a rather odd angle to get the reflections in.

Better viewed large.

Stringi tra i denti quei tuoi pensieri che lisci come l'olio

vanno

infondo alla pancia quelli di ieri

speri non risalgano mai più nella gola

per non dover poi dire

mai più quel che pensi a me che non so più capire te..

me..te..me..te..me...

porta dietro pure me...

e non mi resta che allacciare un paio d'ali alla mia testa

e lasciare i dubbi tutti a una finestra

per quel paio d'ali fuori è ancora festa

perché non ho molto tempo

e non mi resta..

stringi, stringi, stringi,stri..

Yesterday walked out to the mailbox. Snow just coming down again. I took a pic of my house. HWW

The north rose window at Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Chartres. Dedicated to the Virgin, it is the most detailed of the four rose windows in the cathedral. It is amazing that so many of the magnificent stained glass windows survived both the French Revolution and World War II. Chartres Cathedral was a highlight of our October trip to France.

Happy weekend! Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for your kind comments, awards and faves -- I appreciate them all.

An open window and something more ... now I've looked!!

Took this earlier this year and I hadn't uploaded it.

Looking through windows with shadows (no double exposure)

This is getting so common here in my hood ... one of the seven bungalow communities in the City of Orlando. They demolish old bungalow homes and then build huge houses onto the same lot. This is not one of our hundred year old bungalows, probably built in the 1950s, but still ... the land itself being more valuable than restoring and preserving old homes.

Anyway, Happy Window Wednesdays from this not so happy house!

This is now a no shoot zone, it is getting to where they dont even like me carrying the camera through, but it is a way to get from the old downtown to new, coming in the base floor 1st and Boston and riding escalator to this floor and walking over the 2nd street to the other downtown area as seen out the window.

Been lazy long enough...time to dust off the camera.

Haven't taken any photos for a few months, as I have been entirely focused on saying farewell to Wrigleyville, finding and purchasing a condo, moving, and ongoing decorating dilemmas. Am now a resident of Rogers Park, a neighborhood I have always loved. Am looking forward to catching up on what I've missed from all my flickr friends :-)

Happy Window Wednesday

After a fun time with some of the family at my daughter's home last evening, heading out soon for more family homes for some good eats and times.

This capture posted here is at my sister's house, there along Middle River. Head there soon for brunch.

Hopefully getting some Christmas photos today with family.

Merry Christmas

I spotted this window reflecting the sunrise last year, but never got round to uploading it - HWW!
