This guy has just got too big for the balcony - I risked a puncture every time I had to lean over to see who was at the door! LOL

Lilac towel out to dry on on the window sill / window ledge of a cream coloured facade in Gloucester Street Brighton, East Sussex. Sulo waste containers are on the pavement/sidewalk. Atmospherically lit with slanting blue shadows. The relief of bricked up windows is heightened by the angle of the sun.

camminerai dimenticando, ti fermerai sognando

avrai discorsi chiusi dentro e mani

camminerai dimenticando, ti fermerai sognando

I know it's not a great picture, but it's my view. That's what I see when I'm actually content. When I was actually content. I just rested on my bathroom's window ledge looking out into the rain, and I just felt so real, and everything just looked so beautiful.

Heavy rain mixed with hailstones.

it was one of those days where you fall apart at the slightest thing. but the thing about me is that I don't really fall apart for a long time anymore.

I'm still a little sad, I'm getting better by rediscovering the songs I used to listen to.

favorites at the moment-

sex and candy - marcy playground

sewn - the feeling

thirteen - big star

wish you were here - incubus

lucky man - the verve

where do we go from here - filter

call it off - tegan and sara

strings - screena

and the extremely kind and wonderful emily wrote me a sweet testimonial (still not quite in the mood to insert a smiley face, hah).

Like those in many apartments, our living room and dining room are actually two halves on one larger room that is organically split in half by a door to the balcony. Flanking either side of that door are two large windows with quaint little ledges, upon which, on any given day, there's a very good chance you'll find Stella hopping up on them every now and then to sky the sky, the railing and anything else in sight for birds, bugs - even low flying airplanes.

I've wanted to capture a shot of her on the ledge for ages, but yesterday afternoon was the first time I'd been able to get one before she pounced off (clever kitty knows what the "human" wants when the camera comes out ;D). I adore this shot. It shows sweet Stella lost momentarily in deep thought, her white paint dipped toes tucked under her chest, as I see her, if only briefly, so often every day.

An unsuccessful cutting on the kitchen window ledge.

I think I was more testing/playing around with post-processing. The more this year goes on the harder it becomes to find new things to photograph in the same location. Plus I've really been leaving my camera at home which I'm sure means I miss many a moment/shot in and around Glasgow but it's not the easiest thing to lug around and it also delays me from getting home.

spent a super sunny morning in south queensferry with my sister. couldn't resist taking a snap of one of the cutest window set-ups i've seen, piles of books & a pair of bobbins.

My very good friend Michael Mann very kindly donated a long Sunday afternoon to help me put up the bamboo fence that stands behind us at the top of the wall. I wouldn't have been able to do it without him. He also helped me paint the last 4 unpainted window ledges. Top man - thanks, Mike.

A dusty windowledge int he tower of St Andrews church in Cherry Hinton where various items related to the ringing of the church's six bells are stored - including a pile of the Ely Associatin's 2007 annual report, a certificate from a striking competition in 1994, a first aid box and a wooden model of a bell to demostrate the mechanism of bellringing. Probably a few spiders too
