It was nice and sunny yesterday, but with westerly winds at 30-40 mph, it didn't feel as warm as the 50(F) temperatures would suggest.
For the All New Scavenger Hunt #18 - Wind
The cool north breezes of yesterday did a 180 & are now southerly bringing with them the threat of severe weather.
What a difference a day makes.
"The Wind"
P.J. Harvey
Catherine liked high places
High up, high up on the hills
A place for making noises
Like whales
Noises like the whales
Here she built a chapel
With her image
Her image on the wall
A place where she could rest and rest
And a place where she could wash
And listen to the wind blowing
And listen to the wind blow
And listen to the wind
And listen to the wind blow
She dreamt of children's voices
And torture on the wheel
Patron Saint of nothing
A woman of the hills
She once was a lady
Of pleasure and high born
A lady of the city
But now she sits and moans
And listens to the wind blow
Listen to the wind blow
I see her in a chapel
High up on the hill
She must be so lonely
Oh Mother can't we give
A husband to our catherine
A handsome one, a deal
A rich one for the lady
Someone to listen with
Wind Walkers exhibition featuring Theo Jansen’s Strandbeests at the ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay Sands
Bullrush from last year still standing in the ditch at the bottom of my driveway. Cold for April, -1C. Wind gusting and swirling at 50 kph.
Camera looking south, sky beaten down by a couple of stops. Late afternoon sunlight from the west. YN-560III riding in bare from the northeast, handheld. Too much wind for stands, or anything else. Triggered with cheap radio.
Nothing left but an old rush screaming into the wind.

But I did attempt to review my photos and cut out things less than flattering as, let's admit it: no matter the body, the motions of running in revealing clothing does not usually lend toward aesthetic photos. So any photos I've kept are, in my opinion, quite decent... and if you're in them: I hope you agree!
*Also while I very rarely moderate comments: I will moderate comments here. So anything too complimentary or anything quite the opposite will be deleted. In short: don't be rude and don't be creepy. Don't be "that guy".
Wind Farm
US 30 Westbound Rest Area
Convoy, OH area
If the wind turbines I saw from US24 recently are in the same wind farm, this place has really grown!
A general view of the Wind Turbines under construction at Great Yarmouth with some of the towers already loaded on to the Pacific Orca.
As seen from the Gorleston side of the Harbour entrance.
The ship really is suspended in the air. It is not an optical illusiom.

This is a photo I took of many wind turbines set out at sea on the Lincolnshire coats (East England).
