These larger than life, naturally formed, perfectly spherical boulders were truly a sight to behold, the beauty of New Zealand never fails to amaze me. Not only was I greeted with a magnificent sunrise but I also had the good fortune to capture this starburst as a bonus.

The Enigmatic Foliage of the Big Tooth Aspen
In a tableau reminiscent of a bygone era, the Big Tooth Aspen leaves delicately dangle, their serrated edges and muted tones evoking a sense of whimsical nostalgia. Captured in a moment of stillness, these leaves tell an eloquent story of nature’s quiet elegance.

The blue hour, with its ethereal glow casting a serene veil over the landscape, embarks on a subtle yet profound character arc. Initially shrouded in mystery and tranquility, it beckons with a sense of quiet introspection, inviting contemplation and reflection. As the minutes pass, the blue hour reveals layers of depth, its hues shifting subtly from soft indigos to deep cobalts, mirroring the complexities of human emotion. Amidst this evolving canvas, the blue hour experiences moments of fleeting brilliance, where bursts of vibrant colors momentarily disrupt its tranquil facade, hinting at the untapped potential within its depths. Eventually, as the night encroaches and the blue hour fades into darkness, it leaves behind a lingering sense of melancholy, tempered by the promise of renewal with each new dawn.
“From the depths of obscurity, a lone fern unfurls its sinister form, an ominous harbinger of nature’s hidden secrets lurking in the shadows.” -or- “it’s just a fern.”

A stunning sunset over Lake Huron. Like and follow. Your continued support makes a difference and is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Lawrence.
“A small bird nestled within the branches, its song weaving tales of the ancient forest’s hidden secrets.”

Just a touch of golden hour light made the rocks come to life. I am certainly drawn to rows of rocks/boulders in the lake. Add some algae or moss and I am all in. Please like and follow if you enjoy my work.
Have a great one!
In the mornings when the light is soft and everything is fresh and renewed. The often overlooked scenes, I think make for beautiful imagery. Thanks for reading this, I really appreciate it.
As photographers, our love for lenses runs deep. Despite owning just a modest selection (far fewer than I believe I truly require), a handful of vintage ones hold a special spot in my kit. Each lens, with its unique character, adds a distinctive touch to my work. The image captured here owes its existence to a few extension tubes and one of these timeless gems.

Living in the vicinity of one of the Great Lakes is pretty spectacular. The seasonal changes, especially Fall to Winter is incredible. The lake becomes, for lack of a better term…ANGRY. Wind, waves and plummeting temperatures. Photography becomes more interesting and more challenging. This image is typical day before the snow decides to stay. Still beautiful but nothing compared to magnificent fresh powder. I will be posting the lake and the shoreline more often as the Winter progresses. We have five of these gems and the more we see and experience the more we will realize their immense importance to our planet.
All the best,
Lawrence
Exploring vintage lenses and extension tubes led to this captivating shot with an incredibly shallow depth of field. Embracing experimentation is key to unlocking unique imagery! Who else is into the world of lens adapters and old school glass?

“Then before you know, you lose some people close
Forcing you to manage your pace
Found your capacity for love and tragedy
Embracing how things always change
When darkness rolls on you
Push on through”
A lyrical adaptation from “Oldies Station” by the incredibly talented Twenty One Pilots and their new album “Clancy”. The entire album is ear candy.
“With ambition and lofty goals future terrors of the deep learn to swim in circles and perfect their nibbling technique.”

"In the ethereal glow of spring's tender light, a fuzz-covered bud emerges, shrouded in hope, holding the secrets of renewal and ancient beginnings."
We have all heard bird song but have you ever heard these three interesting facts?
1. Vocal anatomy: Birds have specialized vocal organs, including a syrinx, which allows them to produce a wide range of sounds. This structure is located at the base of the trachea and allows for intricate control over pitch and volume.
2. Song learning: Many bird species learn their songs from conspecifics during a critical period early in life. This learning process involves listening to and mimicking the songs of adult birds, often with remarkable accuracy.
3. Communication and function: Birds use their songs for various purposes, including attracting mates, defending territories, and signaling danger. The complexity and structure of a bird’s song can convey information about its species, age, and even individual identity.

It is very impressive to see the raw nature force. This lava geyser is about 400m tall. The Eruption at Geldingadalshraun has changed its behavior and now has become a real lava geyser that can easily challenge the status of Strokkur and the mighty Geysir.
When you have a vision of what image you want from a certain location, but on the day you are not going to get it because of the weather, then just go with it and make the most of what you have. I had always wanted a image with the desert and water but on the day I had planned to head into the desert with @molamolasafaris we had fog as far as we could see. The dog was coming in and out but it was not going to break. So I’m this case you just do the best you can and look for dune features and patterns. Even though I did not get the image I wanted O still came away with some ridiculously gorgeous dune images. Thanks to the ladies at Mola Mola for the help and Ekart my tour guys and the other crazy Indian who make the trip fun.

I've been to this spot serveal times by now. Call it bad luck, but I could never get a shot that I felt comfortable with. We are all on this journey together. Keep an eye on each other, sometimes just knowing someone is there is enough.
I love the greens from above. This was taken at the Eibsee in bavaria.
