Taking Steps
Recently I was having my hair cut. Jennifer has been cutting my hair for 10 years now and as you likely know you develop a real friendship in that situation. A couple of months ago I decided to tell her about Kim. This was mostly a test of “what would a fringe friend say” and well it was all super cool.
Before Christmas I was telling her about these two wigs that I have some trouble with. One is the classic wig from 2014 that I used the wrong hairspray on and basically gunked I up. The other is the wig I purchased last summer but I have never liked how it has looked on my face. As you know when you make the investment in these wigs you want them to work.
Today I took my wigs in and let Jennifer do her thing. My long hair wig just needed some ends trimmed off and that went real well. We then jumped to the 2014 classic Kim look wig and she was able to do so styling and trimming and I think there is some new life in that one so I am very very happy.
The newest wig, well she could tell why I liked it so much and why I was so upset with it. After being hesitant to do anything to it (she kept saying “you know it doesn’t grow back”) we decided to do some thinning to the sides so that it won’t fall so easily in my face. Then it was just some playing and massaging of the hair until we agreed on a new part for the wig. Maybe the highlight of the night was my lesson on using bobby pins. This was excellent and shall require some more practice by me.
What you see here are a couple of shots in the salon – Jennifer was having maybe more fun than me and said more than once “it was like having her own Barbie doll to play with” and a couple of shots at home with the newly styled wig.
It is these normal regular moments of being out that just a few years ago I would never have thought I could have possibly had. But here I am. In a chair. In a salon. With three wigs being styled. Talking. Getting a bobby pin lesson. And just having some special moments.

O Hide deu mais sorte que o Brian, e o resultado da wig dele ficou bem mais satisfatória.
Ainda na minha mania de querer fazer tudo e sem paciência para esperar um fur importada, por sorte encontrei tecido de pelo a venda e não pensei duas vezes.
Agora tenho um metro desse tecido aqui pra fazer wigs até a ultima geração dos meus dolls. :P
O Ryu serviu de cobaia para o molde, e a melhor parte claro, é corta e estilizar a wig.
Definitivamente, me rendi as fur wigs. *-*
Aproveitei e dei um up nas taturanas e na make do Hide também :P
Ah, e claro, não podia perder a oportunidade de zoar meus dolls nesse mosaico :P
ps: postando num momento de insonia e inquietação, virei a noite. Mais tarde eu volto, respondo os comentários das fotos anteriores e visito a galeria do povo com calma ^^

My daughter adjusting her wig!
Not really that hair is all hers.
This was taken on Saturday morning in Cambridge if you look closely you will notice my nice silver nail polish.
Well on Sunday I had to get some bits from a DIY store to fix my daughters telly to the wall, so off we trotted. I found what we needed and went to pay for them. well the sales girl kept looking at me oddly and at my hands it was then I remembered my nails were still silver lol
She's one of my least favourite pullips, but I like her a bit more in this wig :x.
I made the wig for hello kitty, but I decided to put it on her instead.

While at the salon to purchase a new wig the hair dresser and I fooled around with a couple of different styles and looks. I guess I was never meant to be a platinum blonde !
I can never decide beforehand what wig works better. I think it's outfit dependent, but any comments help!
Newest wig for my J-doll. This one is also a hand made wig. I love short hair and it was so difficult to make. It has some mistakes even this is my third time doing this sort of thing. I'll try harder later...this is a promise...
Thought I'd best organise my wigs, until now I didnt know I had 67 wigs ! OMG thats out of control.

Most of these are around £22, cheapest one about £12 and most expensive one was £45.
I have my favourite ones such as the red shoulder length one, that works all the time for me and also the long brunette face framing one.
Then there are unique ones such as the burnt orange one and bright coloured ones for one off nights. Some of these Ive never even worn once!
Of course the next step is Im going to have to put each one on and see if its a keeper or not. that could take some time !
Sara wasn't too happy posing in this wig, but it's all good - at least this way it also fits TOTW's angry faces week.

Is a hot mess. It's ok for my first alpaca wig. :U I wanted it to look like a glorious mane but it's kind of shaggy lookin'. It also sheds like crazy so... I am uncertain about it!

This one is going to be Laurie's wig, but she's about to get a new faceup just now. Siean is showing it off for her. I mixed two different kind of fibers this time, it's suri alpaca underneath and some strands of angora mohair on the top layers. I love the bold colors!
I've ordered a different brand of eyes, they just arrived.
Eyes: "Lauschaer Glasaugen", 12mm in grey. they have a low dome which is great.

I'm so excited! Kapu's wig is almost finished and I'm really happy with the results! It took about... 5 hours?? OMG. At about the 3rd hour my confidence took a nose dive and I almost gave up, lol. It's SO time consuming and the results were so uncertain. I also think if he was on a body it'd be a little easier because I could move his head around to get a good angle to approach the wefts. At one point his head fell! Only to the table so luckily nothing was damaged, but boy did that make my heart stop! Anyway, I'm so thankful I stuck it out and persevered, I think it will be a great wig for him! Kapu once again has taught me something!
