This photograph looks like it's been glued together from two different exposures (for the sky at least). That is purely the result of the brightness of the sun on the left and the relatively darker sky on the right. It is a wide angle shot and cropped, not a true panorama, but it's nice to have so much room to crop with the D850 RAW files.

These rocks are so interesting we'll spend more time examining them tomorrow.

Thank you all for taking a look at my images, its much appreciated!

Can you spell that without getting wet?

Kielder Water Pumping Station is a critical part of the Kielder Water Scheme, located in Northumberland, England. It forms a key component of one of the largest artificial lakes in the UK, Kielder Water. Built to support water management in the region, the pumping station plays a vital role in transferring water from Kielder Reservoir to rivers and other reservoirs across the North East, ensuring a reliable supply of water for both domestic and industrial use. It is situated near the Kielder Dam, close to the shore of the reservoir, and its modern, utilitarian design blends into the scenic, forested landscape surrounding the lake.

The station is part of a sophisticated water management system that operates in conjunction with the dam and other reservoirs, helping to balance water needs across a vast area. While it is an operational facility not generally open to the public, the surrounding Kielder Forest and water-based activities at the reservoir draw many visitors. Kielder Water and the pumping station are emblematic of how infrastructure and nature coexist in this remote, picturesque region of the UK.

Looks like the storm stomper’s shoelace is on fire!

The local guide with asked me, "From where do you think the fresh water comes in the lake". And I have no clue.

"Umm.... The river ? The glaciers ? Glaciers right, of course", I believe i have tro look smarter :-D

"And where are they ? YOu see glaciers around the lake Sir ?"

This conversation was not entirely interesting for me as we were very tired and I was already informed that we are not stopping. Later at home, looking at this picture always reminds me of this conversation and I still have no answer.

A serene sunset captured at Moddergat, Friesland, during low tide. Scattered puddles glisten across the muddy tidal flats, reflecting the soft evening light. Slightly below the center of the frame stands a long row of weathered wooden poles, worn by years of sea and time. The sun’s rays pierce through the gaps between the posts, casting a golden shimmer on the wet ground. Between the poles, a reflection of the setting sun appears, while faint sunrays still grace the sky.

Lulusir lake

=============

We were traveling to Babusir Top from Naran seeing the Lulusir in the way. It is a big lake to cover providing lots of views and perspectives to explore and shoot. Unfortunately for me as we had very limited time. I somehow managed to get this at least.

Bridges (Travessia) by Milton Nascimento

I have crossed a thousand bridges

In my search for something real

There were great suspension bridges

Made of spiderwebs of steel

There were tiny wooden trestles

And there were bridges made of stone

I have always been a stranger

And I've always been alone

There's a bridge to tomorrow

There's a bridge from the past

There's a bridge made of sorrow

That I pray would not last

There's a bridge made of colors

In the sky high above

And I'm certain there must be

Bridges made out of love

I can see him in a distance

On the rivers of the shore

And his hands reach out in longing

As my own have done before

And I call across to tell him

Where I believe the bridge must lie

And I'll find it, yes I'll find it

If I search until I die

When the bridge is between us

We'll have nothing to fear

We will run through the sunlight

And you'll meet me halfway

There's a bridge made of colors

In the sky high above

And I'm certain there must be

Bridges made out of love

The well-known "fried egg jellyfish" is a pelagic jellyfish, which lives in both shallow and deeper waters. It is common throughout the Mediterranean, especially along the Andalusian coasts. Its movement is caused by currents, although it has a good capacity to move on its own. In recent years, their abundance has been increasing and they can be found in large quantities.

Their contact produces a slight itch, but no lesions. The short tentacles are not extremely stinging. They are the best you can find in the sea......

Reflection remains my all-time favorite subject for picture taking.

This is one of the old pictures taken at Mount Baker Washington State US.

I remember that this picture was once sold to Samsung Electronics by Getty Images. I am curous to know how they have used the picture?

Happy Sunday!

The following is my original post story.

The last one in my series of Picture Lake shooting.

A tighter framing of the mountain (Mount Shuksan?).

The question of composition is always: how big my subject should be in the picture?

The tighter the framing, the bigger those undesirable cars are!

Again this is not a good example of composition.

Your comments are very welcome.

Darkening beauty

==============

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....But the eye needs light to see, and damn it is getting dark"

Back to Naran to end the short trip and goodbye to the exotic valleys. Usually I am not firing my camera handheld in this much dark. But the landscapes of Naran won't let me sit back.

This shot is taken very dark. Thanks to the car being driven too slow for the possibility of this shot.

So many other shots could not make it due to bad light and car speed
