A creative, artistic watercolour portrait of our Lhasa puppies.

Katie and Scotty are now 17 years old.

Scotty has recently gone to doggy heaven ... Sadly missed by her sister Katie.

I liked the way the sun lit the seedheads and the way that the seeds look like little faces.

And we're off ! The historic Monte toboggan run in wicker baskets on wooden runners dates back to 1850. Today tourists can still descend the 2 kilometres hill at speeds of up to 48 km per hour. Men in straw hats and white cotton suits act as the brakes with their rubber soled heels.

Now, I would have happily bought at least one of these, if not all of them. Sadly money doesn't grow on trees, especially when they're outside a shop in Perros. I can think of a hundred and one things I'd do with them and they'd look great in the apartment. Although they may have taken up too much room than there is to display them.

Sorry, Flickr is playing up, back tomorrow. 😥😥😥

A basket of goodies.

After a slow start our vegetable plot is ticking along nicely and providing us with lots of lovely things to eat. The heatwave this week seems to have made everything grow very fast and very large!

An old basket full of grapes, pomegranates, and couple freshly cut corn.

Everything is growing really well this summer - especially the weeds!! We're spending hour after hour trimming back exuberant growth.

Also looking forward to trying the chillies, it's the first time that we've grown black ones and the plant is fully loaded. We've had a little bite and they're hot, they're a Mexican variety called CHILACA PEPPER. Can anyone tell me if these can be eaten fresh or is it better to dry them?

When you feel like you somehow are the centre of attention and uncertain how to deal with it.

We're Here looks at Bizarre Art today.

My grandparents found these artifacts somewhere in the Sonoran Desert near Buckeye Arizona. The thought of the craftsmanship to make these and then to have them found in pieces is a shame.

Here's our pilot getting the hot air balloon ready for take off. It was a beautiful night for a ride, the views were great.

A rather calm and tame speed after my adventure in a microlight over the Indian Ocean in Africa, but well worth it to have this experience and photo ops.

A balloon ride was on my friend's bucket list.....and I was more than happy to join her and sail away for over an hour. :)

18th January 2021:

She was nuts, but now she's gone crackers and it's upside down for the weekly theme.

When we'd used or put away the jars of pâté that came in this little wicker basket, I put the Brazil nuts into it and it is prefect for them.
