Ingredients: small vase (from the 1960s, handed over to me by my mother), early blooming flowers (boxwood, grape hyacinth, primrose, french lavendel), Easter eggs (painted with opaque white), wicker basket (ideal for the Easter egg hunt)

A group of people enjoying a hot air balloon ride from a perspective below the basket. The image highlights the experience of aerial travel and the human element of adventure and sightseeing.
The primary subject is a hot air balloon basket filled with passengers. The people are casually dressed and appear to be tourists or adventurers, with several individuals waving or using their phones to take photos. The wicker basket, a traditional element of hot air balloons, is a prominent feature.
The photo is taken from a low angle, looking up at the balloon. This perspective emphasizes the scale and height of the balloon, making the passengers and basket appear to be suspended high in the sky. The balloon's dark fabric and the basket's texture stand out against the clear blue background.
The lighting is bright and natural in a clear day ideal for flying. The overall mood is one of excitement and joy, captured by the passengers' expressions and gestures. The image evokes a sense of freedom and the unique experience of viewing the world from above.
The image is sharp, with good focus on the basket and its occupants, while the sky provides a simple, uncluttered background that makes the subject stand out. The clarity of the image is consistent with modern photography techniques that allow for clear shots from a distance.

relics from the days gone by, love finding a setup and when it is the good I cannot pass it up, found tucked away in American Hatfield shop at the Rose District in Broken Arrow Oklahoma.

30th April 2022 :
Now, I would have happily bought at least one of these, if not all of them. Sadly money doesn't grow on trees, especially when they're outside a shop in Perros. I can think of a hundred and one things I'd do with them and they'd look great in the apartment. Although they may have taken up too much room than there is to display them.
Sorry, Flickr is playing up, back tomorrow. 😥😥😥

And we're off ! The historic Monte toboggan run in wicker baskets on wooden runners dates back to 1850. Today tourists can still descend the 2 kilometres hill at speeds of up to 48 km per hour. Men in straw hats and white cotton suits act as the brakes with their rubber soled heels.
Wicker Baskets, an old peeling metal pedestal basin and bottles in the window...What more could you ask for really! It ticked all my boxes. View larger on black.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to view, comment, and fave my photo. It’s really appreciated. 😊
The Monte Toboggan Run dates back to the 1850s, and was the primary means of downhill public transportation in Funchal (Madeira’s capital city). Now it's a fun tourist ride of 2km in baskets controlled by the white-wearing carrerios.

We're Here looks at Bizarre Art today.
Everything is growing really well this summer - especially the weeds!! We're spending hour after hour trimming back exuberant growth.
Also looking forward to trying the chillies, it's the first time that we've grown black ones and the plant is fully loaded. We've had a little bite and they're hot, they're a Mexican variety called CHILACA PEPPER. Can anyone tell me if these can be eaten fresh or is it better to dry them?
Here's our pilot getting the hot air balloon ready for take off. It was a beautiful night for a ride, the views were great.
A rather calm and tame speed after my adventure in a microlight over the Indian Ocean in Africa, but well worth it to have this experience and photo ops.
A balloon ride was on my friend's bucket list.....and I was more than happy to join her and sail away for over an hour. :)
Planters with colorful flowering plants in the window sills of historic houses in the Dutch village of Drimmelen, North Brabant. The houses were built in the 18th century and most of them are a national monument now.

18th January 2021:
She was nuts, but now she's gone crackers and it's upside down for the weekly theme.
When we'd used or put away the jars of pâté that came in this little wicker basket, I put the Brazil nuts into it and it is prefect for them.

Seen on the street at the Shengcun Market, Yunnan Province, China. Both the baby in the wicker basket on the mother's back, and his mom, are eying the drinks selection at a local store. The mother is dressed in traditional ethnic attire, possibly of the Yunnan Miao people.
In the spring we set up an automatic irrigation system to water the fruit and vegetables. It only comes on for 20 minutes twice a day, and we're sure that without it all of our produce would have died in this very dry hot weather.
