can anybody explain why the last one was explored??

This dragonfly seems to be looking towards the heavens imploringly asking "Now what? Why can't I just be left alone? Why me?" I must say I can't blame it after all that it has gone through as evidenced by its bottom left wing which is quite damaged. Despite the damage it is still a handsome dragonfly and must have been stunning earlier in its more youthful days.
