And Then There Were None
And Then There Were None is Presented by Cold Theatre 7 in Special Arrangement with Samuel French Ltd. Written by Agatha Christie & Directed by Kevin Cruze.
In this superlative mystery comedy statuettes of little soldier boys on the mantel of a house on an island off the coast of Devon fall to the floor and break one by one as those in the house succumb to a diabolical avenger. A nursery rhyme tells how each of the ten “soldiers” met his death until there were none. Eight guests who have never met each other on their apparently absent host and hostess are lured to the island, along with the two house servants, marooned.
A mysterious voice accuses each of having gotten away with murder and then one drops dead – poisoned. One down and nine to go! The excitement never lets up and the search for the murderer never ceases which keeps the audience at the edge of their seat.
This gripping 'whodunnit' will feature an alternate ending in each performance!

Active Assignment Weekly - Investigation.
Mmmm, now where did I leave that gin and tonic? I could really do with a glug - I've been busy all afternoon and I'm parched. Funny, I'm sure there was some left, I KNOW I didn't drink it all. So who's had it? Come on - fess up.
WIT:
A greasy finger print, a macro lens, some added contrast.
Prize raffle during halftime of Burlesque: Death Aboard the ICS Golden Thong — The captain and her crew thought it was a wonderful day to start another trip to Seti Ralpha V aboard the prestigious interstellar cruise ship, the Golden Thong. And it was, until someone got themselves murdered. If that wasn’t bad enough for our intrepid captain, it threatened to blossom into a galactic scandal! Will Captain Smirk figure out who the murderer is before the quadrant erupts into war? Will Ensign Crusher ever get the respect she deserves? Will the rubber headed alien look even remotely convincing? Will Security Officer Starbooty look good on set? Answers to these questions and more at Death Aboard the ICS Golden Thong, a burlesque whodunnit set upon the final frontier, an homage to every bad mystery trope, complete with a butler droid! Morgan La May stars at Captain Smirk, Bella La Blanc as Ambassador Lube-wanna Troi, and Nikolai Knight as Security Officer Starbooty! Also staring Sophie B. [two dark-suited agents enter a room, stepping under crime tape]
Mouldy: Well, this is very fragrant. There are bits and pieces of the victim everywhere.
Sculler: It looks like the victim was sliced in two, then into smaller bits, and then the flesh was eaten, leaving only the skin behind.
Mouldy: Yes. The weapon is easy right there. Not hard to figure out how it was done. But why? I don't understand why the juice was sucked out of the fleshy bits?
Sculler: Ergh. I think I'm going to be sick.
Mouldy: Fascinating, isn't it? I mean, the skin was lovingly taken care of, yet the juices weren't slurped up...
Sculler: *Blergh*
Mouldy: ... and there are chunky bits everywhere.
Sculler: *Bloorp*.
Mouldy: at least he left us a towel to wipe up with. We need that. Here Sculler, wipe that up...

OK, you can probably blame Jason from Duluth for this. His zanyness is catching.
On this note, we wrap up this week's photoshoot series. I got two things out of it: a chance to document blood oranges for some friends who had never seen one, and a chance to play with using text to offset the stories in the photos.
Tomorrow: whodunnit?
Strobist: two flashes. sb600 to left, through umbrella, 1/4th. sb600 to right, off of the back of the cooler (eski, right mate?), at 1/16th.
I should note: this was an outtake, a "proof that they weren't wasted" pic.

I suffer from what someone called 'DDD'....
'Denoument Deficiency Disorder': that is, I fall asleep just before the great detective reveals whodunnit.
So the solution is simple, I must knit, sew or draw, and this is the result of about 6 hours TV.
It started in the same way as 'Easter Eggish Doodle', www.flickr.com/photos/16054928@N07/5277306180/in/set-7215... and gradually several birds emerged.
To save you standing on your heads in front of your screens I have posted it both ways up!
Pencil crayons and ink in A5 heavy cartridge sketchbook. Black background in PS.

Macro Mondays, Film Noir - apologies for using an archived shot, but I have been away for a few days on a Street Photography workshop and whilst I'd loved to have something new for this great theme (so much creative scope), I've failed miserably! Thank you for any comments and bear with me, I'll be back with new shots and reciprocal comments very soon.

Originally shot for ODC Film Noir - This composition is not as tidy as "The Wicked Queen, Part Deux" ( www.flickr.com/photos/globalnomad01/8271275167/ ), but I like the "on set" feel of it so this is my post in today's ODC Challenge - thank you to JustaMonster for a fun challenge on an otherwise lacklustre Friday.
TheFlickrLounge - Toys and Tiny Things (if that's allowed within the rules, Brian - if so I'll post to the relevant daily discussions for last week)
Audience and tech crew shots just before Burlesque: Death Aboard the ICS Golden Thong — The captain and her crew thought it was a wonderful day to start another trip to Seti Ralpha V aboard the prestigious interstellar cruise ship, the Golden Thong. Fawkins, Candy Apples, Mandy Flame, Tawdry Quirks, Lola Moondust, Whisper De Corvo, Wicked Scarlett, and special guest star Lilith Van Dyke. Restricted to Norwescon members 18 years of age and older. Aphrodite (copper, 1940-1948) by Saul Baizerman (1889-1957). In the collection of the Storm King Art Center.
A selection of novels by Agatha Christie on one of my bookshelves devoted to women crime writers. Agatha Christie, who wrote murder mysteries from the 1920s to the 1970s, was acknowledged as one of the 'Queens of Crime' of that period. Her books have never been out of print and, as can be seen from the variety of old and newer book spines here on the shelf, have been reprinted many times. Many of her murder mysteries feature her two most memorable creations, Miss Jane Marple, the elderly spinster from the English village of St Mary Mead, who uses her knowledge of human nature gained from observing people in her village to solve murders; and Hercule Poirot, the Belgian detective who relies on his 'little grey cells' to work out 'whodunnit'. Agatha Christie's books have been dramatised many times, with actors such as Margaret Rutherford and Geraldine McEwen playing Miss Marple, and Peter Ustinov playing Hercule Poirot. But my personal favourites in these roles are Joan Hickson as Miss Marple and David Suchet as Hercule Poirot - both manage to look and behave exactly as these characters do in the novels - at least in my opinion.
