And Then There Were None
And Then There Were None is Presented by Cold Theatre 7 in Special Arrangement with Samuel French Ltd. Written by Agatha Christie & Directed by Kevin Cruze.
In this superlative mystery comedy statuettes of little soldier boys on the mantel of a house on an island off the coast of Devon fall to the floor and break one by one as those in the house succumb to a diabolical avenger. A nursery rhyme tells how each of the ten “soldiers” met his death until there were none. Eight guests who have never met each other on their apparently absent host and hostess are lured to the island, along with the two house servants, marooned.
A mysterious voice accuses each of having gotten away with murder and then one drops dead – poisoned. One down and nine to go! The excitement never lets up and the search for the murderer never ceases which keeps the audience at the edge of their seat.
This gripping 'whodunnit' will feature an alternate ending in each performance!

Prize raffle during halftime of Burlesque: Death Aboard the ICS Golden Thong — The captain and her crew thought it was a wonderful day to start another trip to Seti Ralpha V aboard the prestigious interstellar cruise ship, the Golden Thong. And it was, until someone got themselves murdered. If that wasn’t bad enough for our intrepid captain, it threatened to blossom into a galactic scandal! Will Captain Smirk figure out who the murderer is before the quadrant erupts into war? Will Ensign Crusher ever get the respect she deserves? Will the rubber headed alien look even remotely convincing? Will Security Officer Starbooty look good on set? Answers to these questions and more at Death Aboard the ICS Golden Thong, a burlesque whodunnit set upon the final frontier, an homage to every bad mystery trope, complete with a butler droid! Morgan La May stars at Captain Smirk, Bella La Blanc as Ambassador Lube-wanna Troi, and Nikolai Knight as Security Officer Starbooty! Also staring Sophie B. Fawkins, Candy Apples, Mandy Flame, Tawdry Quirks, Lola Moondust, Whisper De Corvo, Wicked Scarlett, and special guest star Lilith Van Dyke. Restricted to Norwescon members 18 years of age and older. Doors open at 9 p.m. (Photo by Michael Hanscom for Norwescon)

This was on the back lawn this evening and it wasn't there this afternoon. I'm curious because there are no children or teens living in this community. It is a very nice thing to do. It has a name of Sam and a heart on it. So thanks Sam. I think I will write and ask on our community message board to see if any one else found one. This is a mystery for the Hardy boys to solve.
The Flickr Lounge - Red
I'm going to be pretty flat out from now until at least April as the Nomads are living up to their name and moving again in a few week's time, so I'm going to be reducing my Flickr time to just a few posts per week, including a self-driven 52 Images in 52 Weeks project I'm doing (with a fellow Flickr contact). I will try to visit all my great contacts when I can grab a spare 5 minutes, but if all I do is fave your posts, please know that it's because I'm trying to stay in touch and not be a complete post-and-run.
Thank you in advance for any comments and/or favourites.

Nothing like a cozy murder mystery, even an anaemic one like this, to sink into on summer afternoons.
[Spoiler Alert]
A typical P D James whodunnit, with Adam Dagliesh to the rescue, this book is populated with living and breathing characters, and a vivid locale - a psychiatric nursing home.

The media hadn't been in a tizzy like this since Gary Turner, the football captain of the college team, was arrested for drunken and disorderly conduct and assaulted Mr. Fipps the woodwork teacher. Turns out Gary had a thyroid problem and Fipps, well he didn't know how to stop his lips from flapping. Most knew better than to call Gary a ginger. But that was a simpler time. The only blood that was shed that day came from Fipps' nose and Nurse Ratchett was able to put a stop to that with a cold compress and two fingers firmly pinched on the bridge of his nose. The coroner was still pretty green and he reeled a bit when it came time to examine the body. Despite his physical reaction, he was a little bit excited. This was his first whodunnit and he was almost guaranteed a spot on the six o'clock news.

The Name of the Rose is a novel by Italian author Umberto Eco. It is an historical whodunnit (murder mystery) set in an Italian monastery in the year 1327, an intellectual mystery combining semiotics in fiction, biblical analysis, medieval studies and literary theory. First published in Italian in 1980 under the title Il nome della rosa, it appeared in 1983 in an English translation by William Weaver.
Plot summary
Franciscan friar William of Baskerville and his novice Adso of Melk travel to a Benedictine monastery in Northern Italy to attend a theological disputation. As they arrive, the monastery is disturbed by a murder. As the plot unfolds, several other people mysteriously die. The protagonists explore a labyrinthine medieval library, the subversive power of laughter, and come face to face with the Inquisition. It is left primarily to William's enormous powers of logic and deduction to solve the mysteries of the abbey.
