Interior design by Linda Lane with Peggy, her client, in the North Seattle area. Sofa, tables, rug, pillows, paint, flooring, walls, pot lights installed in ceiling. More lamps to be added, one sideboard for CDs and a screen. Peggy found these great drum shaped tables at a Fred Meyer's store.
The sofa is from JC Pennies; a great addition to this room.
Back wall painted a darker "paper bag" brown color to contrast with the sofa, and look great with the plant and round tables.
High sweet fashion at a low sweet price!

OK, so it's a little early but I'm in America now, and Christmas starts the day after Thanksgiving.........
A new sofa does so much, doesn’t it? When actress Rashida Jones made over her 400 square-foot New York studio, she replaced her IKEA slipcovered couch with a pretty English three-seater (one of my favorite styles). And symmetry is key in a small space: centering the sofa between two shelves creates a comfy nook with a sense of order.

This black and white living room features fifteen floor to ceiling windows with Gothic touches and red accents. I had the ironwork custom made to recreate how the trees move in the wind, right outside the windows. If you look closely, you can also see my black and white platform shoe displayed under a bell jar by the lamp. There's certainly no shortage of drama here!

Septembre 2005, nous avons enfin les clés de notre nouvel appartement.
Situé dans une rue calme proche du Centre Pompidou, il réalise nos rêves en nous plaçant au cœur de la capitale. Nous étions loin de nous douter que nous y resterions dix-sept ans...
Ce huitième shooting commence sagement (le démanagement nous a laissés un peu groggy).
C'est surtout mes jambes et mes pieds qui semblent intéresser mon photographe ce jour-là.
L'espace est plutôt vide : nous n'avons pas encore trouvé nos marques.
Mais une chose est claire : une autre vie commence.

September 2005, we finally got the keys to our new apartment.
Located on a quiet street near the Pompidou Center, it made our dreams come true by placing us in the heart of the capital. Little did we know we'd stay there for seventeen years...
This eighth shoot began quietly (the relocation had left us a little groggy).
It was mainly my legs and feet that seemed to interest my photographer that day.
The space was rather empty: we hadn't yet found our bearings.
But one thing was clear: another life was beginning.

The lovely young lady is my sister's daughter Melissa May.
