A Cabbage White butterfly I believe - - it was nice to have him hand on some colorful blossoms
Cabbage White - Ontario
This will be my last post for a short while. Going to take an "artistic" break for a week or so. Hope you enjoy this cabbage white butterfly hungrily nectaring on milkweed. Hence the term, "milkweed love."
As always, thanks for the views, comments, and favs. Hope to see you soon~!
This little butterfly was fluttering around the lake near where I was standing. It was very restless and only stopped at each flower for a few seconds.
Captured on a hosta leaf last summer...
Compared to some of the stunning colors of other butterflies, the White Cabbage is fairly plain. Still, in the right light, and at a good angle, and with a nice background, they can really stand out.
Después de 26 días de que las larvas salieran del huevo, aparece la primera mariposa (el capullo vacío a su izquierda).
After 26 days that larvae got out of eggs, first butterfly shows up (empty cocoon at her left).

Another somewhat overly organized photo for today. Of course the idea of this one came to me when I was going to make lunch. I could have had a real meal but I kind of felt like having some good old instant noodles cause you know even if you have steak at home sometimes its nice to have a hamburger right? Though I normally add stuff to my instant noodles when I have things at hand that is. I chopped up some white cabbage and scallions and torn up a couple pieces of cilantro, and that was when I figured hey lets do a food photo for today. Just like the good old days of when I was in college, during my years I always had one box of instant noodles on hand as emergency food, never finished a box since I was never in dire need of food but it definitely got used thats for sure.
If I had a couple more things at home, like bean sprouts and some meat to throw in I would have included it but we didn't have much to add so that was it. I got an egg, asked the misses to crack it open for me since she's better at it than I am and just started laying things out. I actually had to open up and eat (in the end) a second pack of instant noodles just cause one pack didn't have enough of those spices to really fill up the spoons. Also debated showing the package for the instant noodles and in the end decided to have them in the photo to take up a little more space but more importantly to sell the fact that it is actually instant noodles I'm making. After setting up I just lit this shot with one light and one reflector, double checked everything on my computer and I finally sit down make my instant noodles and eat.

The year 2014 was fantastic in capturing many species of butterflies found in TS. I have added only 14 species here even though the number is more.

Wander into a world of tropical birds, mythical creatures, and everything in between. Natural paintings from the talented Flemish draughtsman Anselmus Boëtius de Boodt (1550–1632). His passion of biodiversity, made him become a humanist, mineralogist, physician and naturalist, all portrayed in his artwork. With this vintage collection of flora and fauna we want to showcase his illustration skills, and provide you with beautiful printable decorations for your walls.
