HOMICIDE: Homicide memorial for Ian S. Lightfoot. On April 20th 2016 Buffalo Police responded to the 200 block of Chadduck Avenue in the Riverside section of Buffalo, New York, where they found Lightfoot dead from a gunshot wound in a yard. However, Lightfoot was actually from Niagara Falls, not from Buffalo. There are also heavy rumors going around that he was murdered in Niagara Falls and his body was dumped in Buffalo. So as far as Im concerned I consider this a Niagara Falls homicide, not a Buffalo homicide. Neither the NFPD or the Buffalo PD have confirmed this. A few days later a large gathering of his family and friends put this memorial of him up in his home neighborhood in the 1200 block of Garden Ave or "G-$ide", in the Highland Avenue section of Niagara Falls, New York. Buffalo and Niagara Falls are about a half an hour apart from each other north to south. Side note: There has also been a lack of national news coverage on violence in Western New York, there's such a lack of coverage it almost borders on the line of a cover up. Documentaries like Hood2Hood completely bypassed and ignored violence in Western New York as well as the show first 48. So from now on everytime there's a homicide in Buffalo or Niagara Falls I'm going to ask the question, where's the First 48 at, by using the hashtag #wheresthefirst48
