The SKY is high until passes my sight

Where am I? I don't think so, but I'll leave it at that

Clouds stretch through the sky, then I supply what

I think, it's nice here, not the other way around 📝

Nebe je vysoké, až přechází zrak

Kde jsem? Nemám zdání, však nechám to tak

Mraky se táhnou nebem, dodávám pak

Myslím, je tady hezky, ne naopak

Another photo of the baby House Martin who landed on our terrace that I managed to get to walk on to my hand and take off safely into the trees below … :-)

**Rant Alert**

Only a few months ago this shelf in my bathroom cabinet would have been empty…whoever tells you ageing is anything other than being plagued with a different pain demon every other day is a blatant liar or they’ve sold their soul to Satan.

Other makes of opioids are available.

Not.

Today, Eagle Creek Park.

Bar of choice in Gran Alacant…lets just say the spirit measures are generous!

Chill out sounds at moderate volume…Pink Floyd, Empire of the Sun, Diane Krall(isnt she married to Elvis Costello?), ambient music and videos…just right for an ageing Lothario and his squeeze 😆

I hope the place has survived the sh!tshow of the pandemic.

IPhone 6 + a bottle of bubbles = arty fartyness

This is a view of Seattle from the Amgen pedestrian bridge. I am looking south. The space needle is the tallest light with a little bit of red on top. The Seattle PI's globe and the Seattle Big Wheel are the purple and red on the far right. Got it?

Another question:

Can you see something special on this reinforced concrete wall? I'm talking about the wall that is upper the deck (that you can see on the first plan).

This gull appears to be having a where am I moment.

Sat minding my own business on EMT's 10.07 Crewe - Derby DMU (1K08) when, pulling into the opposite platform at Stoke-on-Trent station, was the reverse working - the 9.43am Derby - Crewe (1K07). Both trains are scheduled to cross here and, as it happens, both trains are single-car class 153 units.

I couldn't resist this humorous pano take, and wondered if someone on the other train was doing the exact same thing ..... er well, to be fair, I didn't wonder for long.

Just to show I'm really with it, I thought I'd add a few hash tags with this offering...

Here is a bit of fun for Friday. Who knows where in the world was this picture taken? If no one gets it correct I will post some clues and then if no one gets it I will post the answer later today.

From the archive... We drove back home from South Carolina on this day last august and as we crossed the border into North Carolina, we somehow got lost and soon we ended up in the middle of nowhere. As we decided to stop for a break to find our way, I noticed a nice row of pink crepe myrtles against an old crooked fence. I decided to snap a few shots of this fence to have something to remember this place which til this day I still don't know its name. I guess all wasn't lost :)

Originally for the Where am I in BC group . This is along the Brandywine-Calcheak Trail, a nice easy walk or bike ride

An oblique message welcomes people as they step in or out of Dorking station, in Surrey. It appears to be metal graffiti?

Taken with a Nikon D40, fitted with a Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8 AIS manual focus lens and processed in GIMP and Photoscape.

This shoot was the most fun I've had in what feels like forever. We met late in the evening, and just walked around Nakano, Tokyo, shooting and drinking, it was a blast. All the interesting spaces, colours and lights we found, and all the wondrous architecture. Such a lucky night to have met and shot with Nigal for the first time and get to shoot with Sayaka who was a total star.

"Learn the art of patience. Apply discipline to your thoughts when they become anxious over the outcome of a goal. Impatience breeds anxiety, fear, discouragement and failure. Patience creates confidence, decisiveness, and a rational outlook, which eventually leads to success."

Labyrinth in the darkness

I was going to make the first tag about how that's what is written on Kurt Vonnegut's tombstone but someone had already beaten me to the tags. But by changing the title to that quote from what was there temporarily when I first upped it, I ruined their fun. Sometimes you just can't win.

So here is sad little post-apocalyptic teddy providing us a Bench Monday shot of holocaustic proportions. Yes, that is a word. I couldn't write it down if it wasn't.

The settings I used to process this are now available as a free download. You can find the 'Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt' preset available for Lightroom and ACR / Photoshop right here (scroll to the bottom or download all six presets at once).

So it goes.
