1980, maybe. We took the Torino to Crystal Shopping Center for some pictures. Light rain so lots of reflections. Long exposure with a pan on the tripod. That Arby’s sign is still there but everything else has changed including the Arby’s. Pentax KM, probably Ektachrome. I warmed up the color in the edit.
Starsky and Hutch sometimes referred to the Torino as “The Tomato”. So in turn, sometimes this car was referred to as “The Banana”.
AE-1 / Big Smile Photo 100
You may have noticed I've been playing around with film lately. My first job in High School was at a skating rink which was pretty rad because I got a discount on skateboards. My second job was at a one-hour photo called "Big Smile Photo". For you kids out there, back in the 80's we had photo labs where you could drop off your film and get it back in an hour. Pretty cool! I found this film in my old camera bag from High School. All it said on it was Big Smile Photo ISO 100. We used to sell it at the photo shop but I can't remember who made it. It is over 30 years old and this is my first shot. Processed with Cinestill C41 kit and scanned on a Epson V600 with Negative Lab Pro.
Scott and myself assess the Corvair in a staged photo. Maybe it was a case of “transmission fuck”.
