Wooden wheels for an ancient spinning wheel to produce yarn and a wicker baskets. Obsolete technology but it is ecologically clean, friendly and safe. Just to remind us the history of the humanity.

I fully admit to this being (mostly) a fluke, on Inle Lake.

Some selective color on the red wheels of the old wagon at the Borax Salt Works in Death Valley. Fences surrounded the wagon.

Happy Fence Friday!

Gate wheels rusting from lack of use.

in the truck bed of my brother's rusty old 72 Chevy... Four altogether. Originally used to create a hand welded picnic table frame that were donated to us from a friend in Andover, then sold to an antique store downtown Wichita, Kansas to raise money for our foster cats.

Couldn't resist this one!

I thought I'd post this rescan of the D&H RF16s at Wells, MI to go along with the news that one of the Sharks, the 1216, was on the move, at least for a short trip. I happened to catch a video yesterday on You Tube by Ron Asselin showing the 1216 moving from the warehouse in Escanaba to the Escanaba & Lake Superior facilities at Wells. The old Baldwin was in rough shape and missing its side panels. It was being pulled by one of the ELS switchers, but at least it was moving on its own wheels. Why was it being moved to the shops is the billion dollar question. I know that the plans are for the two sharks to be donated to a museum after Mr Larkin, the owner, passes. I hope he is still enjoying good health; he has assembled quite a collection that he keeps private. Sure, it's sad that we can't see them, but at least they are out of the elements and being preserved. Hopefully, the time will come when they will be displayed for all to see.

Taken Near Edmond, OK - I would love some help with the model of this truck. A 1940 or 41 Ford - Thanks fellow photographers.

This tiny cemetery appears to be one that was orphaned from its temple when a large elevated expressway was put through the area, one of many such neighborhood-eviscerating thoroughfares built througout Tokyo. The good little tires and wheels from the auto shop next door appear to be watching over or playing hide and seek with the spirits buried here.

The way this car is painted looks like a toy where they didn't put the effort to paint the details black, i.e. splitter, flaps, rear diffuser.

Did I mention that I love this lens?
