Ich habe diese alte Anzeige zwar fotografiert, weiß aber nicht wofür sie verwendet wird. Könnt ihr mir helfen !? 😬
I took a picture of this old ad but don't know what it's used for. Can you help me !? 😬
EN: The croatian railway rectified some kilometers of Lika line in the section across Lićko Polje. One of these kilometers can be found at Kruškovac. Lićko Polje is a great wilderness with only few villages. The war in the nineties raged terribly in this area, there is still a danger of mines here around. Freight 61314 is passing Kruškovac between the stations of Lovinac and Medak, where today a new platform is built. Nobody knows whatfor... The rock visible in the background is called "Zir" (850m).

I called up Jim Patterson yesterday on his day off to see if he felt like going shooting. I didn't have whatfor in mind, so Jim suggested a place called Pebble Beach near Pescadero. We cruised up the coast, being buffeted by high winds the whole way. We got to the beach, and hopped out of the truck to scope out conditions.
Well thanks to the wind, the ocean froth had been whipped up into a foamy meringue which was completely covering the beach in foot-thick, viscous, undulating drifts. I busted out some video to document this weird phenomenon and got totally splattered with foam in the process. :) Ok, so shooting here was totally out of the question due to the high winds and ubiquitous foamy goop. So where to go? Jim and I were shouting at each other over the roar of the wind and decided our only course was to head back south.
After some miles we pulled off at a little turn out to scope the rocks just north of Waddell Creek (Jim, is that right? help me out here). The water was coming up pretty high over the rocks so we hemmed and hawed a bit and Jim made the decision to leave, and I made the decision to get in his truck so he didn't leave without me.
Further cruising ensued until we pulled into the Panther / Hole in the Wall Beach parking lot. We scrambled down to the beach to see about getting to HITW but the arch way was impassable as the ocean had scooped a good 50 tons of sand out of the floor of the arch and the water was running really high through there. Ok, so north end of Panther it was. But we got up there and the waves were absolutely demolishing the rocks, sending spray shooting 40 feet into the air.
Hrm. So back to the south end we went and ended up shooting a bunch of stuff near the arch. And the conditions ended up being pretty awesome; better than I think either of us expected. So we set our D300's rattling as the sun set and came away with some nice images.

You don't know what's right anymore
You think your love is just a score
Are you too young or afraid to grow up?
You can work this out if you both try
It's hard to cheat but harder to lie
Is this what you want or just a passing thought?
Maybe you should think about it
Before you go and break her heart
Maybe you need more time to decide
Ask yourself "what for?
What for, what for, what for?"
You painted a picture she wanted to see
You can laugh this one off but it's not funny
She's given you everything she has
Oh oh
Maybe you should think about it
Before you go and break her heart
Maybe you need more time to decide
Ask yourself, "what for?
What for, what for, what for?"
You wanted her and you got her
But you're still so careless with your words
If you let her go, she'll move on
Find someone, she's never coming back
How can you live with that?

One more word, said my dad,
And I’ll give you what for.
What for? I said.
That’s right, he said, what for!
No, I said, I mean what for?
What will you give me what for for?
Never you mind, he said. Wait and see.
But what is what for for? I said.
What’s what for for? he said,
It’s to teach you what’s what,
That’s what.
What’s that? I said.
Right, he said, you’re for it,
I’m going to let you have it.
Have what? I said.
Have what? He said,
What for, that’s what.
Do you want me to really give you
Something to think about?
I don’t know, I said,
I’m thinking about it.
Then he clipped me over the ear.
It was the first time he’d made sense
All day.

Always keep revisiting space invaders when in the neighbourhood for a latest update about the state. This space target is doing still very well after more 10 years of presence in this busy street with lots of tourists and locals. Brasserie Le Buci has closed down!

Post-Processing Notes: This is a composite of two photos. The Exit sign background was taken at work last night, using my wee PowerShot A590. The image of me was taken here at home, using my EOS 50D. Much thanks to Poe Tatum for her kick-ass tutorial on creating a mask using the pen tool (this thing is going to save me hours upon hours upon hours of labour in the future). I've had this image in my head for several weeks now, just waiting for the day that I could finally put it together and upload it. Considering that this is the first time I've used this method for masking, I'm quite pleased with it, although I'm sure it could be better.
THE DEADBEAT CLUB, by The B52s (video at www.singingfool.com)
Huh? Get a job?
What for?
I'm tryin' ta think.
I was good, I could talk
A mile a minute
On this caffeine buzz I was on
We were really hummin'
We would talk every day for hours
We belong to the deadbeat club
Anyway we can
We're gonna find something
We'll dance in the garden
In torn sheets in the rain
We'll dance in the garden
In torn sheets in the rain
In the rain
We're the deadbeat club
We're the deadbeat club
We're the deadbeat club
We're the deadbeat club
Going down to Allen's for
A twenty-five cent beer
And the jukebox playing real loud
"Ninety-six tears"
We're wild girls walkin' down the street
Wild girls and boys going out for a big time
We're the deadbeat club
We're the deadbeat club
We're the deadbeat club
We're the deadbeat club
Let's go crash that party down
In Normaltown tonight
Then we'll go skinny-dippin'
In the moonlight
We're wild girls walkin' down the street
Wild girls and boys going out for a big time
Anyway we can
We're gonna find something
We'll dance in the garden
In torn sheets in the rain
We'll dance in the garden
In torn sheets in the rain
In the rain

We're the deadbeat club
We're the deadbeat club

I don't think I've ever been so happy to be laid off! Yesterday evening was my last day of work, and I'm now a happy and proud member of the Deadbeat Club. Huh? Get a job? What for? I don't want a job. I want to do what I enjoy, what makes me happy. The advice to "get a job" has to be some of the worst advice I've ever heard. :P
Signed,
Gary (Newly Inducted Member of The Deadbeat Club)
P.S. Technically, this Friday is my last day of work, but yesterday evening was the last day of actual work. Well, the last day of going in to do nothing and get paid for it. From now until Friday, I won't be going in at all, until 10a on Friday morning, but I'll still be paid for it. Make sense? I didn't think so. :P
Popstars is an international reality television program and a precursor to the Idol series. The series first began in New Zealand in 1999 when producer Jonathan Dowling formed the five member all-girl group TrueBliss. Dowling then sold the concept to other countries, initially to Australia and then on to the UK before taking it worldwide.
The show was the inspiration for Simon Fuller's Pop Idol franchise which would dominate reality TV, (along with Big Brother) for the next few years.
Although Popstars had started successfully in most countries, the shows gradually began to fail and were dropped by many broadcasters due to poor ratings. The only country where Popstars is still popular and successful is Germany. In Germany ProSieben is producing the sixth season because of the show's massive success in the ratings. In 2007, it was announced that the show will return to France on M6. It remains one of the most successful TV show formats of all time with the format being sold to more than 50 countries.

Found myself needing to drive in the hot southwest, with my less than reliable Petri 35. With a roll of Kentmere 400, at least tried to see a bit better all around including on the road. I think about every other shot gave an image, so 50% capture rate. Could've been worse I guess. Developed with Diafine to give it even more grit. Pretty darn hot in AZ these days. Thanks to the flickreanians who keep capturing images!

We moulded the shape and added the grass seed.
Now we must water everyday and wait.
