On your front door some night?
Would you open the window
And drop me down the key?
Another 10-stop from Blast Beach a few weeks ago as I can't seem to get my backside into gear and get up for a sunrise of late.
I have no idea what they make at this place, but my thought was some up-sized moonshine distillery, or a meth lab. I think this was someplace between Raton and Las Vegas, New Mexico. For sure I-25 and northern New Mexico. I've kept a journal since 2009 with date, odometer, and nearest town. So for a picture like this that was taken in 2012, by the date & time of day it was taken, I can usually figure out roughly where I took the picture.

I went to see Hazel on Wednesday before work. She was hanging down a tree and I was able to take this shot from below (Squirrels-2019-0827.jpg)
A silhouetted figure stands on a lonely roadway with their light piercing the darkness in an attempt to see what lies ahead as the incredible expanse of the universe is displayed by the Milky Way stretching overhead.

"WHAT? Is this really the brandnew OM-1?"
Maybe that's what the Kestrel thought when he looked at me

Thanks for looking !!!
I love to sit on a meadow and look around to find out who is nearby and possibly watching me. In this case it was a four-spotted chaser, the second one I have seen this year. This one was a female but that is something you can only tell if you look at the colour of the body.

“Still, what I want in my life
is to be willing to be dazzled—
to cast aside the weight of facts
and maybe even to float a little
above this difficult world.”
― Mary Oliver
I saw a macro of a crown cork recently and I wanted to make something similar. But it didn't work out like i thought. So I tried something else and look at the cork from another angle. Afterwards I did some post processing to make the image even more interesting. I like it a lot. I hope you do too! HMM :-)
I had too many ideas but nothing good. Decided to go with this in the end since I liked the colour.
PS: Definitely less than the size of a credit card what you see here.
What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

The sea was angry that day... I mean, somewhere, I'm sure...
Somedays you find yourself existential, in your head, wondering, what's next? What's still to come? Is it alright as I am?
I don't know what to think, just take the day, as another transient start, another forced draft.
The most difficult action shot in my series was this oncoming sprint towards me. Not having eye autofocus and a slow fps I knew this shot would require some luck and concentration. The final outcome was 2 acceptable shots in this challenging situation. Click for large view.
What's wrong with this picture?
Maybe they're having a two-man tournament..... & she's keeping stats on their catches.
One never knows what you'll spot while on the water or out in the wild......
Thanks for taking a look......
Have a great Thursday...........
