Westminster Abbey, formally titled the Collegiate Church of St Peter at Westminster, is a large, mainly Gothic abbey church in the City of Westminster, London, just to the west of the Palace of Westminster.

Since the coronation of William the Conqueror in 1066, all coronations of English and British monarchs have been held in Westminster Abbey. There have been at least 16 royal weddings at the abbey since 1100.

Every once in a while I find a shot that I might actually like better in B&W than the color version.

BNSF Y-NTW150 emerges out of Tunnel #1 at Westminster Junction behind a pair of ex-Santa Fe B40-8Ws. Tunnels #1 and #2 were completed by the Northern Pacific in 1889 and became a part of the "East Side Line" under Westminster Junction. Altogether, the NP built four tunnels under the Great Northern and Omaha Road mainlines at Westminster between 1885 and 1889, all of which remain in service today.
