♫ David Lee Roth - It's Showtime ♫
Lights, camera, action
There's a star upon your door
Have your machine call my machine
We'll do lunch on the cutting room floor
We're over budget
98 percent not there
And when the back door hits you
Where the good Lord split you
Tell us honey, who does your hair?
How does he do it? Why's he do it?
Oh yeah, yes, it's true
And the flavor of the month is you
Practice, practice, practice
Just to get to Carnegie
We'll need 10 percent and that's off the top
Gross, not net to me
Get it on
Honey, 'cause it's showtime!
Just play the song, oh
Baby, 'cause it's showtime!
Oh, oh, oh

Although this Vertorama was composed exactly the same as this one which I posted a couple of days ago... it's different enough to make me want to process and post it as well.
Besides... I actually prefer this one. The light might have been better in the other one... but the streaky clouds in this one are way cool... and the beautiful woman just adds the finishing touch. :)
Nikon D300, Sigma 10-20mm at 10mm, aperture of f14, with a 1/30th second exposure.

The west coast of Tasmania experiences the full brunt of the Roaring 40s. The wind and sea currents come up from the Southern Ocean, bringing rainfall on most days of the year and conditions that can change in minutes. Here, at the appropriately named "The Edge of the World" we can see this sea stack beaten down by the wind and waves.
The West Coast, of New Zealand or 'the Coast' as locals call it, is an untamed natural wilderness of rivers and rainforests, glaciers coastal views and geological treasures.
This is an image I posted several years ago, and looking back I was not at all happy with the post processing. So I decided to give it another try. I took this as the ferry was sailing into Gothenburg harbour, but I believe the boats don't pass by here any longer, which I think is a shame.
Like large, haunting eyes peering out the depths, this massive rock holds prominence at Face Rock State Park in Bandon, OR.
Just before the start of the Honda Celebration of Lights fireworks presented by India. The crowds packed the beaches swelling to the tens of thousands. This was an awesome experience and one of my favourite events during the summer.

“There’s a rugged beauty about Punakaiki Pancake Rocks & Blowholes where an unrelenting drama plays out as the mighty Tasman Sea crashes into these iconic limestone formations.
The West Coast’s most visited natural attraction is a fascinating sensory spectacle and an incredible contrast with the sublime palm-filled glades and tranquil trails of surrounding Paparoa National Park. Prepare to be blown away (by the scenery).
Rising from the sea at Dolomite Point, the Pancake Rocks are part of a heavily eroded limestone area where the sea bursts through underwater channels and escapes via vertical blowholes.
These rocks, dating back some 30 million years, formed as layers on the sea bed which eventually rose under seismic action. Since then water, wind and salt spray have been constantly eroding the softer layers leaving a ‘pancake’ stack of harder limestone.
The easy Pancake Rocks Track is a 20-minute loop but double (or triple) that to leave enough time to view the blowhole action. It’s most impressive at high tide so check tide times at the Department of Conservation visitor centre opposite.”
