National Express Volvo B7TL / Wrights Gemini 4671 enters preservation at Aldridge Transport Museum this morning. Still in its brilliant West Brom heritage livery, there's quite a bit of tidying to do, but it is a great addition to the Museum.
The plan is that it will do its first free bus services at the Open Day on Sunday, 19th October at Aldridge Transport Museum.

The CV8 was first introduced in 1962, as a replacement for the 541. With radical front styling, a glass fibre body and a Chrysler 5816cc V8 engine with Torqueflite (column selected), a small number had Chrysler built three speed manual shift.. Very fully equiped with Power-Lok diff., radio, and reclining front seats
The Mk.II from 1964 had the larger Chrysler 6276cc V8 OHV giving 330 bhp and Selectaride rear dampers.
This Mk.III arrived in 1965 recognisable by now having equal size quad head lights, separate flasher units and dual system braking.

A look at The Hawthorns football ground / stadium. It is the home of West Bromwich Albion FC. And they have been here since 1900.
The stadium is in easy reach from The Hawthorns Railway and Metro Station. And also has good bus connections on the Birmingham Road (e.g. the 74).
