‘The Goal’……A local shot on a cold but bright last day of the year, a fine smattering of fresh snow flakes to brighten the frozen muddy tracks, perfect. So we’ve made it! Well done to all who met their own targets today too - be that a 366 or whatever! I would like to thank everybody who viewed, faved and or commented along the way - greatly appreciated, your encouraging comments helped no end. So will I be doing another - no! been there done that as they say. I shall still be posting regular I’m sure just as I used to. ……Another shot out of the box of 35mm slides taken by a wedding guest that we came across at home - a previous shot explains how I scanned them, this one has been further processed in Silver Efex Pro2, not the sharpest shot in the box. Well we made it to mid-week! Stay cosy & locked down to stay safe and to keep EVERYONE else safe too! We arrived later in the evening. They just wanted to get a peek of the ocean before settling in for the night.
we made it! now it's time to celebrate and ring in the new!!
we end where maggie began - with friends in dallas. not as pure daily as the first time around with 365blythe, especially in the last few months, lol! but we finished adad2011 with 365 shots, one assigned to each day of the year - yay!!

Karlene and I made this 6-layer dessert tonight to celebrate my new job!
I am so excited because I'll still be able to drive the school bus in the fall and work here in between bus routes :)
It's a sweet little cafe and ice cream shop...and it's about 5 miles from our home.
If you didn't know, I used to be a cake decorator, lol you can't tell from this photo, but I have some of my cakes in this set (food) and they said I would be able to decorate birthday cakes here too!
I start on Tuesday! Yay!
Isn't that the cutest little cupcake plate? They came in a set of 4, all four are different colors....
and they belong to my daughter, Kyle. She has the cutest dishes! The pink polka dot cups that I photographed the kittens in a while back are Kyle's too.

Who would have thought that one day we’d sit atop these mighty walls, contemplating our escape over a beer? Gazing back at the shed skin left in the pit, at those scars that now resemble tattoos. We made it—what a journey the cycle of transformation has been, eh?

after driving 7.625 kilometers we've reached the north cape.
my goal was lofoten and the sun not setting.
our plan was to continue as long as tarcan was happy travelling.
all we have to do now is drive back.
p.s. the north pole is only 2.102 kilometers away.
I got to the city centre, and on Carrs Lane I saw these two tricycles going past, advertising the latest Birmingham Museums exhibits.

February 2013 update in Longbridge. A lot has changed since my last visit (not counting when I got the train to Redditch, as that time from Longbridge Station I couldn't see anything).
