There is an interesting Riddle that explains how Welcome Washington got its name. The US Post Office opened an office there in 1889. John Welcome Riddle was the very first Post Master. Evidence of a community is sparse today. Evidence of salmon and eagles is plenty.

We finally had some warm sunshine and beautiful blue sky on Monday ....inspiring me to get some Violas & Dianthus to grow in pots. This image was taken on the balcony yesterday .

I think Boo Lefou is glad that Fall has arrived. I’m hoping he’ll get some relief from his allergies. You can see in this photo the skin in the corner of his eyes is still swollen. When he has flare ups he gets all red under the eyes and in the folds around the nose. I have him on a special diet and he takes the medicine Apoquel which he’ll probably be on for life.
