GMD GP40-2LW 702 and 705 were tied down at the GO Transit facility in Campbellville in 1987.
Both motors were eventually retired and sold to Canadian National.
I saw this vintage, model car in a store window, and had to take a photo. :) It looks like it needs a little TLC. Don’t we all? ;)
Today is International Women’s Day. There are two films written and directed by women that I’ve seen recently that made an impression on me. They are difficult films to watch—addressing emotional and sexual abuse against women—but are powerful, timely and important. What I love most about these films is that they ultimately illustrate the strong and loyal bonds between women as colleagues and friends. I hope that you will watch them.

My dear Flickr friends, I have missed you a bit. No WiFi last weekend during my weekend in Zierikzee, an amazingly beautiful small city. However, Zierikzee was bathing in the sun the whole weekend when I was there with two of my dearest friends. I loved it!

Ty42-107 with a heritage train from Chabówka to Kasina Wielka climbs the long ascend between Mszana Dolna and Kasina. This was probably the last weekend of steam services on this lin as we know it as there is a major modernization coming up.

I took these pictures from the Ocean Reef Marina on a saturday after my skate board run. Most saturdays the local yacht club holds races for yachts off the coast here. In the distance you can see the white beaches of Mullaloo (my local beach). Its always a beautiful spectacle to see. If you zoom in on the left side you can also see the surfers off Mullaloo beach.

Laddu or laddoo are ball-shaped sweets popular in the Indian Subcontinent. Laddus are made of flour, minced dough and sugar with other ingredients that vary by recipe. They are often served at festive or religious occasions. (Wikipedia.)
