I went to Whitby Steampunk Weekend with a friend. It's not something I've ever been involved with, but I love looking at it; there were so many amazing costumes and stalls. I'm not very good at photographing people, which is why I stick to landscapes, but I never will be if I don't try ;)

Each year, Family Weekend is a wonderful opportunity for families to visit with their students and celebrate their accomplishments while exploring everything that the Pace Community has to offer. This weekend provides the chance for students' relatives to experience Pace University firsthand and to interact with faculty, administrators, and other Pace families.
Despite the lovely sunny weekend, a little maintenance, err blanket weed removal, soon revealed just how freezing cold the pond water was. Literally 5-10 seconds was all that could be withstood before ny hand became SO incredibly painful. Needless to say the job never really got started. It soons brings into perspective those poor souls who ended up in the icy Atlantic during the Titanic tragedy, they wouldnt have lasted long. The goldfish must be amazingly hardy to survive such conditions, they sink to the bottom to warmer climes and slow their heartbeat right down to vitually nought to preserve energy, but even they have only just started to become active, and as for frogs and frogspawn, not a sign. Yet last year, they had laid before the end of February. Ever heard the Frogs chorus?.
We just happened to come, of course, during a Star Wars Weekend. I was pretty excited, although I've seen it all. Naofumi hadn't, and loved it.
