Well there was a bishop at Limburg, who is a former bishop now, because he spent 31 million € for his new office and private residence. In my neighborhood we have a bishop, who is still a bishop, though he spent 39 million € for his.

Around here we call persons like that a "Cleverle".

I´m not sure if my entry stands for gluttony, greed or pride on the church´s behalf or for wrath or envy on mine.

Feel free to vote in the comments!

But to be honest: I´m glad they didn´t build a boring low cost multi-purpose building!

Peter Forsgard 52 Challenge - Week 25 Green

OK, so leaves aren't very original for this weeks topic, but I have shot these by shooting through some foreground leaves close to the lens, and focused on leaves in the distance.

Shot for Week 25 of my "52 Weeks of 2023" flickr group project given the theme "Favorite Photographer".

Guy Edwardes' nature photography was my inspiration for this week's shoot. Here is a link to his fungi portfolio - www.guyedwardes.com/portfolio/show/category/fungi-and-sli...

I love his pictures of mushrooms and of insects on plants. I captured some of each, and decided to go with this image of fungi.

I submitted a couple shots of insects that were close runners-up. Check them out in my photostream if you like.

Week #25 ~ Favourite Photographer

At the moment, I'm really inspired by Stephanie Johnston's photography - she does a lot of ICM (In Camera Movement) and double exposures (also in camera).. you can find her work here: www.facebook.com/iamstephjohnphoto

This image is a single exposure taken after an evening swim to mark the Summer Solstice last night... we were treated to an amazing sunset .

I love Street Photography both past and present. I have been reading and viewing much of Henri Cartier-Bresson's work due to last week's challenge. So today while in the city I badly attempted a modern version of his iconic image of a woman's shoes and her dog.

Week 25/52: Freedom. What's freedom for me? As I love spending time in the woodlands, exploring nature, that is freedom for me. The feeling of being alive and being able to explore the nature is wonderful. Spending hours in the forest, leaving the urban landscape for a while, is peaceful and the best way to clear the mind :)

and, Good morning ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و

Have a wonderful weekend to all (*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡

WEEK 25 Story: Toy Story Not the movie! Tell a story with toys or about toys. (Kind of like the movie...)

The theme for week 25 is Sunrise / Sunset. This was the sunset at the Point of Ayre where this lighthouse is situated. It is the oldest lighthouse on the Isle of Man and was built by Robert Stevenson and first lit in 1818 and automated in 1993.

52 weeks of 2016, week 25 EARTH

What the Ancient Greeks considered to be the elements that made up everything in nature; Fire, Air, Earth and Water.

This is the second of our four part series on the Elements. For this week we want you to look at the ground beneath your feet for our earth theme.

What you shoot for this theme is entirely up to you, however your image must have a thematic link back to your Water image from Week 9... Grecian style amphitheatre , in comments

The theme for week #25 is Sunrise or Sunset. This was the sunset a few hours ago (25 - 06- 16), it was the best that I've been able to get to on a rather busy week. It was a rather chilly evening with the wind blowing off the sea.

Art Wolfe is one my favorite photographers but I couldn't figure out how to take a photo like him. I decided to try a photo in the style of Sophie Gamand, she photographs pit bulls.

Week 25:52 Stars (June 17th-23rd)

--------------------------------------------------

The theme this week is STARS. In the past I have attempted photos of our wonderful Moon, plus have been able to capture the bright light dots of Venus and Jupiter, but they are not "stars". Have to confess that Astrophotography is a little out of my range, so I used my imagination.

--------------------------------------------------

Back story: The base photograph that I used for this image is a blurry shot of a Dandelion in full fluff regalia with the seeds ready to disperse from the head. I read that the Dandelion was one of the only flowers that represented the Sun, Moon and STARS in all of its stages, so...
