I'm starting a new project, the 52 weeks! I'll upload one photo each week in one year and I'll only post them on facebook, so stay tuned! I'm so happy and I hope I can finish this one.

I hope you like it :)

My song of the end

I had seen it in my dreams

My song of the end

I can't stop the darkening clouds

Not at all what I had planned. :( At least I tried this week... sort of. It would have been great if I had medieval architecture and costume, but it's looking like this project is going to consistently take an h_h twist. Don't tell my son. He'd be so disappointed in me. ;0)

I don't even want to upload the previous weeks' photos. bleh

52 Weeks - The 2026 Edition

Week 40 - get pushed

My fellow 52-weeker Karina challenged me to experiment outside my usual genre/style with "through the looking glass".

Another stroll around Holes Bay, was gobsmacked how many berries were still available for the foraging animals.

This is Jón Gunnlaugur Viggósson, 24 years old and lives in Kópavogur.

We took a couple of photos on the 1st of March for this series, both headshots that were similar to the first week of this series and then of him standing outdoors by a poker table playing poker with a friend of his. Well while none of those shots were bad, they just didn´t "pop" so I asked him if we could try again and if he was up for going in a suit into the blue lagoon and he loved the idea.

Many thanx to www.bluelagoon.is for allowing us in on such short notice, they were very helpful.

I don´t know what it is but this photo makes me think of agent Smith from the Matrix.

Lighting is a single bowens monolight with a 75° softlite reflector and of course direct sunlight.

I wanted to try something a little different this week, so I enlisted the help of my friend and co-worker, Lauren.

I’ve always liked this T-shirt of mine. Bill Murray’s quote is right on target, and for the most part, I think he’s right: dogs are pretty good judges of character.

That said, I do think there are some dogs who have very good reasons not to trust people. A dog that has never known kindness is probably going to have a hard time trusting anyone. And, in fairness, I’m sure there are people who feel the same way about dogs after having a bad experience with one.

But generally speaking, I think Bill was onto something.

As you can see from the adoring look she’s giving my model, Lauren, Minty has clearly decided that she is trustworthy.

Best viewed large.

Bumped into a bunch of shooters having a photowalk at the East Coast Park last week during a test shoot. It was a shutterfest (for me, at least); here's one MILF I managed to shoot.

Came to a close with a relaxed parade, food and some dance to wind the week down ..

These young ones move and groove at speeds truly past me so there is some pleasant [intentional] blur ..

The old Henry Jones IXL jam factory buildings have been preserved and are now a key element in this arts precinct. Just last week the Art Hotel celebrated 20 years in this restored building.

like a butterfly,

the knowledge is there.

sometimes near,

sometimes far.

all you have to do is reach out.

the hardest part

is to learn how to keep it.

last week's. didn't have any time because I studied for my 5 hour long german exam all week. and I mean all week. I didn't do anything besides reading those books and trying to keep everything in mind.

Taken at the fishing wharf near the end of Long Beach Island, NJ. HDR'd it to bring out the details. Shot at 10mm to try and get in as much detail as possible.

Theme: Dave Hill effect

A hard one. Tried to find a tutorial for LR5 with no luck. So we'll say this has a Dave Hill-ish effect? ;-)

look at the world inside you

because that’s the one that matters

it’s not the one around you

that sees you like everyone else

and how much can something mean that does not care about individuality?

- it can mean the world. the world around you.

look at the world around you

because that’s the one that matters

it’s not the one inside you

that is only known by yourself

and how much can something mean that only exists in yourself?

- it can mean the world. your world.

I feel like I complain too much about the things I have to do for school. but to be honest, I spend most of my time during a week on school work. I had two exams on friday and I was so nervous and studied all the time. I think I almost broke down once, but I didn’t. and I’m so glad it’s over. and there are only 5 and a half months left until school is over. I can do that. and I feel better now, I had a relaxing weekend so far and I won’t have that much stress next week.

I still have a tumblr, by the way. :)

barcelona. the sun is bright. a shop window dominates the street. it is an advertisement. "blue weeks," it shouts in large letters. a man walks by. he ignores the sign. yet he is part of it. he wears a blue jacket. blue jeans. blue sneakers. a blue backpack. perhaps it is a coincidence. perhaps the city agreed on a color today. for a fraction of a second, the passerby and the poster become one. reality matches the artificial image. a fleeting moment of perfect order.

I see myself heading for a way I don’t want to go.

thank you truly for the testimonial, Miss Samantha Smith. you are amazing.

iPhone panorama taken on a lazy Sunday at Portland Head Light. I would call this love under the tree.

An early post this week as we have plans for the weekend. The leaves in the backyard created an interesting background and Della looked around right on cue.

At two weeks, this little pinkie got her/his first taste of grass.

For my last post in this fashion week series, I'm featuring Baiastice and Essenz, a gold dress to wrap this editorial up. It was so much fun making these posts and thinking about different combinations, can't wait to show you guys what I have planned next 😛

So I'd taken this already but forgotton and have been getting behind in my shot a week!

A take on a common shot but wanting to use some natural light from the patio doors to cast a smooth diffuse shadow to one side too. Hope you like.

Shot on a Panasonic G3 converted for infrared photography, processed in Lightroom and Silver Efex.

I don't like this shot (at all) can't recognize myself here, I look kind of mean and arrogant.. and it's just a weird angle...

so if I find time to take pics on sunday I'll probably replace this....

Edit: wow.. didn't expect such a reaction, seems like that always happens when I say I don't like a shot... well I won't replace it now, as so many of you seem to like it =) thank you so much for your nice comments!

Oh no it's roid week and all I have is some super expired film.

Oh no it's roid week and I can't remember how to use the instant film back for my Hassy.

Oh no it's roid week and I haven't touched a real camera in at least four years.

Oh no it's roid week and it's too dark inside my apartment for this film.

Oh no I can't remember how to peel this off.

Splurge.

Week 44/52

This week held the beginning of something I do every year, and something that absolutely saves my gloomy Novembers: NaNoWriMo. For those of you who don't know what this is, it's a program in which you're supposed to write a 50.000 word novel in a month. And it's always such an amazing time — we have parties and meet ups, I always meet a fantastic group of people and get together with old friends and write write write. It's a good purging mechanism. You just type — it's about quantity, not quality (the quality is for the editing process), so you just let your fingers run across the keyboard, enter word wars, make fun of your own characters, write crack!chapters and just go with it. It's liberating, and fun, and makes me feel more accomplished than anything else I do during the year.

[+1 in the comments — just a different processing]

We made it to Friday, happy weekend :-)

Edited: I just realized I posted this same picture back in December... whoops.... lol (4-18-25)

I captured this Hooded Warbler eating a fly early spring a few years back.

I hope you all are having a great week.

it's day five already!

thank you for all the fantastic amounts of inspiration this week, polaroid people! :)

(if for some reason you haven't been introduced to the amazingness that is 'roid week.. here ya go.)
