An entry for the challenge group 52 in 2014, #17 A Weed
I thought about trying something a bit more adventurous for this topic, so I pulled up a weed from our the gravel area outside our conservatory and left it on a paving slab to wither a bit. Over a week later it had shown no signs of wilting, so I gave up and resorted to this - it seems that the weeds in our garden are doing everything they can this year to thwart my aims :-((
I have no idea what this little plant is, but it is obviously wind delivered as there is weed suppressant membrane under the gravel, what I do know is that it is a pain getting on your hands and knees to remove them - we are a chemical free garden in case you wondered why I don't just spray them.
Well, that is what I was doing when I remembered I needed a jumping pic. So here I am. Weeding. And apparently very badly from the very blurry weed in the forefront of this shot.
Potting Mix - - did a weed seed blow into the tear of this top bag,
OR are weed seeds in the potting mix ? ?
A common weed in Melbourne - I don't know what it is exactly, but it looks like it belongs to Solanaceae.
Once the design is cut into the vinyl, the excess vinyl on the sheet is removed in a process called weeding.
Waiting for the right moment to grab a passing foot. Shot at close to 1:1 ratio to show scale of this tiny terror.
Part of a several year battle with burr clover. Will be working on this effort for many years to go.
Snapped for the Macro Mondays challenge of Dried.

This was on the car in front of us at DQ. I think I've been by that dealership in PA and I thought it was funny then too.
Continuing to try to catch this weed in detail... now the weed is 3 1/2 months old and seems to be dying. Look at the first weed photo in the set and now look at this!
Small sack of weed that some poor soul dropped on the street in Chicago. Spotted as we were walking along Dearborn towards Millenium Park.
Two things I take away from this:
1. Dealing with value dense, small footprint items while wearing gloves makes for a dangerous situation.
2. Weed on the street of a midwestern city goes to show you the extent to which pot prohibition is a farce.

That's a fairly tall pole as it once held railroad signals. How'd they get the tire on it? Stand on top of a tall truck?
The weed (milkweed) just thought it was a nice place to grow. Must be warm in there.
Abandoned railroad in the woods. There's pictures of it in my photostream.
GDW meaning Ginga Densetsu Weed. AKA my favorite anime ever. :] If you haven't seen it and you're into shounen (action sorta stuff) I highly recommend it. A bit bloody yeah, but definitely cool.
