Every year about this time these pretty little flowers bloom around our back porch, and although they are in the "weed" category (Oxalis pes-caprae) and said to be hard to eradicate, I never have the heart to dig them up.

The hay field next to our house had the sprinklers going last night and it got dang cold. This morning there were acres of frozen hay, grasses and weeds. I settled on taking a photo of one part of one weed.

I better get rid of this weed before the seed pod ripens. I don't know if it explodes to scatter the seed or how they are dispersed - only know I don't want to be responsible for spreading it.

I found a packet of what appeared to be medical marijuana in my yard. I naturally returned it to the neighborhood medical marijuana dispensary, where they told me someone had taken their packaging and swapped out the weed for tobacco. Oh.

I know these are just weed seeds, but I still liked how this turned out.
