Not so long ago I worked at a restaurant in America, where I picked up this term. It is, apparently, a widely used restaurant term, but I never heard it used anywhere outside of our restaurant and no one seemed to know where it comes from. It's also pretty fun to use in everyday life:
"I can't believe Christmas is so soon! I'm totally weeded by this factor."

'Convolvulous'... A very nasty weed which climbs over everything in sight! Also seen with pale pink flowers. Closely related to the "Morning Glory" climber with the larger, blue/purple coloured flowers.
