Double, for Double Happiness (囍).
It's a set of illustrations I did for a friend's wedding. I'm finally allowed to blog this since we were waiting on friends we have in common to get it in the mail first. I designed their wedding invite as a gift to the happy couple. Saves me the trouble of having to look for a gift. Plus, this was fun!

This is how the invite would look when the envelope is opened... tying lots of bows was a nightware.. as you can see on this one, it went a bit wonky!
First round of CREATIVE for the front of my wedding invite. The idea is to screen print this onto a cardboard CD wallet. I was thinking about what type of paper I could use that would be readily available and cheaper than the typical wedding invite, then BAM. CARDBOARD! Which will totally go with my RUSTICfall theme.
I happen to find MINGALING's photostream with her cd wallets and I fell in love! Thanks for the inspiration girl, the cd wallets are a PERFECt idea ;)
PS: the fiance HATES this design. he's not as "artsy" as me and he thinks this looks too "tim burton". i.LOVE.it.

Think it is too stuffy for our beach wedding, but the paper is beautiful, so I will find a use for this somewhere else.
I love the vintage feel of this name place card design. But it is also really dramatic yet sophisticated.
