The minister (on left) and the violinist (on right, haha) played a boring dirge for about 15 minutes before the bride and groom came out.

Some special people got married

It's a very cold day and night here.

I needed to warm up. Hence, my dipping once again into the archives.

This is from a wedding in St. Louis, Missouri this July. I 2nd shot this with a pro friend who is St. Louis based. I learned a bunch, including how hot it is in the Summer in St. Louis.

The sun had set, we were indoors and the music had this crowd of 20-somethings up and boogieing to the beat.

They kept the joint jumping and me shooting until it was time for me to drive the 2 hours back home.

Looks like they were having fun along with me, right?

They were and I was too. =)

Another shot from the wedding.

That's the father of the groom and his brother on the left.

The way weddings are photographed in India is crazy (like so much other stuff too). There were two squads of documentors. Each squad consisted of a guy with a video camera, a guy holding a strong light source with a huge power cable attached, a guy to man the cable, and a still photographer. They provided ample lighting that I could steal.

I was originally not going to have a wedding band, and just wear my engagement ring as a wedding ring. But after discovering that my engagement ring gets snagged on things and scratches things, We decided that maybe I should have a band for "Everyday" use. We saw some nice, plain white gold bands that we considered, and then the other day when we were looking for a tie for Shaun, I saw a ring like this and just fell in love with it. Then saw one on amazon for less and...voila. I have my wedding band.

Part of the "Marva" ceremony with the bride's family.

Here's the side view of the rings together.

I just LOVE my rings!!!
