They are dressed in shinto wedding attire at a traditional Japanese wedding at 明治神宮 Meiji Jingu Shrine

This was taken by my sister-in-law but edited by me :-) The couple could have actually been in Chinatown for a pre-wedding photoshoot.

Smile on Saturday: FULL OF MEMORIES

The pink of the marzipan roses of the top of our wedding cake, which my father-in-law loved to bake for us as a confectioner, has faded after almost 35 years. Still, the sight of it in the glass case delights me, reminding me of one of the best decisions I made in my life !! 💕

Como no se les reconoce, espero que no les importe si en algún momento ven esta captura..."

A pleasure and privilege to document Andy and Kari's wedding day, a few days ago...

Linda und Thomas haben auf den Seychellen geheiratet. Ich durfte von Ihnen dort ein After Wedding Shooting machen.

Linda and Thomas married at the beautiful Island La Digue, at Seychelles. I took portrait photos - an after wedding shooting - of them. The wedding ceremony photographed someone else.

Wedding Photography by Clifford Photography

So, I've been busy.

Busy trying to work out if wedding-photography is the way forward. And I have to say, I have thoroughly enjoyed this new venture over the past couple of years.

My apologies to all my friends, here on Flickr for the lack of activity. In truth, I spend much of my time on Instagram nowadays; mostly motivated by guilt; guilt that I don't spend as much time editing images as I ought, on my laptop, using Lightroom. Instead, I snap away on my camera, using basic jpg: quickly upload to my mobile phone, and edit via Snapseed, before sharing on Instagram.

Flickr, for me, is reserved for my best images; ones which I have taken the time to carefully edit...

So, here's to continued adventures. I hope you're all well.

Santa Barbara, CA

A very windy day to get married, it was. I had a very hard time standing still for the time it took to just press the button for this quick shot.

I absolutely love photographing weddings! They are so fun and exciting BUT...what do you do when it rains? This couple was excited to take advantage of the mountain views and landscapes but the rain and clouds socked in and we used a covered balcony, their hotel room and a tiny feature wall for formals. I managed to pull them away from their reception for 5 minutes for this image while it poured rain. They are holding a diffusing umbrella and I have my SB-900 at full power positioned about 4 feet back, waist height pointing into the umbrella. This illuminated the umbrella AND rain with just enough light outline the bride and groom. Hope that info helps you, I'm having a blast with backlit shots like this!

A lot of waiting for the happy couples at Stockholm City Hall on this very windy day.

another snapshot which turned out to be a fairly great scene hindsight. the original photo was taken on the way to the shooting set for the wedding photography. the couple was walking a fair way ahaid while I was lugging my equipment, when took my camera and shot this picture.

Sadly there wasn´t any dof on the original picture, it appeared flat and boring. To isolate the couple from the distracting background I used Photoshops lens blur with a special layer mask (same thing I´ve done here). the couple was completely masked to remain them crisp sharp, appearing as a black silhouette on the layermask. a black horizontal strip was added where the couple stands to preserve sharpness also in that area. in front of the black strip and behind it up to the horizon I added a black-to-white gradiant which controlled the strength of the lens blur.

It´s far away from being perfect (the brides hair isn´t really properly masked, but that's a red herring) but I love the result anyway. In addition to the dof little optimization of the greensward and the wayside was done.

Bir Hakeim viaduct, Paris.

This wedding couple (at Lake Louise, Banff Nt'l Park, Canada) was trying to get their assembled guest to wave back to the camera they had set up to photograph their friends and family who had apparently come to Lake Louise for their wedding. September, 2018

Stockholm City Hall. Wedding season is on.

There are many weddings in the Waikiki area. There are many photographers involved in that process. This photographer happened to capture this group on the street. Thanks for a peek.

Wedding photoshoot at the beach of Binz.

By chance I came by and quickly I took a few shots too.

I wish everyone a good start into the new week!

Tying the knot. If you enjoy street photography with a difference, Stockholm City Hall on a Saturday is a good place for a visit.

Not nightmarish for me as a photographer, we went to my scouted locations, the rain just had to be a part of the day. Sometimes it rains... The weddingcouple was great and fought through. This is all ambient lighting.

A happy couple on their wedding day visit Mr. Poole's studio. The person who commissioned the photograph was a Mr. Constantine with an address in Charlestown, Co. Mayo. Now Charlestown to Waterford is a good few miles but with a bride as pretty as this lady I'm sure a man would walk 500 more?

Hogged a view of a young couple doing a bridal shoot at St. Vitus Cathedral. The professional photographer was somewhere to my right, but I caught this fine glimpse between two pillars. Slight misfocus, as I was in a hurry to get the shot, and probably also a slight overexposure ...
