The Weathering Works are a custom model railway weathering service. Home to weathered model railway items in all gauges we aim to offer exhibition standard weathering at affordable prices. From steam and diesel locos to wagons and vehicles you can find it all here.
The aim of weathering is to give the models a sense of realism that they simply dont have straight out of the box and remove their plastic often toy like appearance. In reality even within a few days of service locos and wagons become dirtied so why not replicate this in model form. From track dirt to exhaust fumes it can all be replicated by TheWeatheringWorks.
As well as selling weathered stock direct both on my site and via eBay I also offer a weathering service by which you send me whatever you would like weathering and i send it back to you weathered to your desires.
Prices for the weathering service can be found on the Weathering service page of my website. This service varies from a dusting of dirt to reflect stock not long in service to a thoroughly uncared for and dirty piece which has chipped faded paintwork etc. A multitude of colours, techniques and mediums are used to enhance the appearance of your stock.

My inspiration for this layout - heroarts.com/learning/technique.cfm?techID=92 I stamped the background of this LO with the Design Block Flourish with watermark ink, then embossed with some glittering embossing powder. Used the same stamp on the matting piece of cardstock and clear embossed. The LO is all about my dd's 6 months... :-)

WALL LAMP VII
The lamp is made of Senegalese gourd.
The pattern was inspired by fractals and foliage motives. White carvings are deeper layer of white wood which allows some light to pass through it.
At the top of the lamp is closing part locked with little magnets.
The diameter of the gourd is 26cm. The lamp is 35cm high.

TABLE LAMP XX BUTTERFLY
Nature and math is an ocen of inspiration. The organic pattern contains three structures (plus butterflies main lines) and each of them is based upon Voronoi diagram – one of those mathematical oddities (like fractals) that turns up frequently in the world of nature.
The head of the lamp is made of Senegalese gourd. Its diameters are 27 and 23cm.
Thickness of the gourd is about 1cm so the structure is quite deep and it is carved on three different depth levels.
Height of the whole lamp is 48cm.
The diameter of the base is 28cm and it is finished with dark brown jeweler waxed string.
The end of the base is carved from wood.
On the top of the lamp is closing part locked with little magnets.
