Agelena Labyrinthica sitting inside its housing. The light area and circle in the back is its emergency exit. In front of it you find the remainder of its last victims. Picture is taken from the entrace. Lighting was done through vegetation bottom up.

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Doctors Without Borders, is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare.

MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. The Spoonful Of Sugar Festival has won awards, and we have grown to be well known and celebrated as an SL Charity event. But none of that comes close to how rewarding just being a part of this event is.

In four events we have raised $40,000 USD for MSF/Doctors Without Borders. We are projected to hit $50,000 USD by the end of this year's coming event. To say we are proud is beyond understatement. This truly is a festival. It is a celebration of a global-wide response to humanity that evidently people here in Second Life take very seriously. Many of those in Second Life have made it known that we see the right to physical and mental health care on a global scale, and that we don't take human injustice lightly or miss a chance to help where we can.We anticipate this event will bring 200 of Second Life’s finest designers, entertainers and participants covering six regions. Each new event is full of lovely people, always in a lovely place and we are all so excited about this next one!We want to invite each of you to come be a part of this.

To participate in any way you will; to design, to create, to shop, to learn and inform others about MSF/Doctors without Borders. Join us for what is being called the "Sweetest Fund Raiser in SL", The 2019 Spoonful Of Sugar Festival to benefit MSF/Doctors Without Borders.Peace,

Macro in HDR - Elk Lake

The spider's third left leg holds the radial thread out of the way, whilst its rear left leg withdraws the silk for the spiral thread from the spinnerets. The other legs are used mainly to support the spider. The spiral threads are dotted at regular intervals with a glue-like substance, which creates the stickiness used to trap the prey. The entire process is entirely instinctive and is carried out purely by touch - vision plays no part whatsoever. The finished web had a diameter of 55cm (almost 22 inches) of almost perfect symmetry. The spider is awaiting its prey in a tube formed by a curled up leaf at the side of the web. What a wonderful world we live in! Digital webmasters - you have still got a lot to learn!

Come into my parlour said the spider to the fly ................ Bet you’re glad ....... you’re not .... a fly.

Quick snap from the airplane while arriving at Hong Kong on Dec. 28th 2010. Lower left is a section of Hong Kong Island (Central to Wanchai), about middle right is Kowloon (Tsim Sha Tsui and West Kowloon). Upper left Tsing Yi Island, the Rambler Channel and Tsuen Wan.

Pretty clear air, but still needed some PP to really clean it up.

I've added a few notes - most with links to closer views of the respective object. You may want to see this in LARGE format.

The location from where the shot is taken is naturally just a rough estimate...

This is a spider (Web master) waiting for a prey. Look at the coil-like formations near its legs. Those are his "signatures"

A spider (Charlotte?) perched on her web along a barbed wire fence in the historic Boxley Valley, which is part of the Buffalo National River in northern Arkansas.

interesting to watch this spider making a web, a fast worker!

Another shot of one of the three works of art.

I have no idea what kind of spider it was in this web though... I tried to get closer but I kept almost walking into webbing, so I decided not to get any closer.
