Pretty sure that's us sitting down in the back in the center.

Carolyn, Clint.

dancing, drumming, playing bass, playing guitar, singing.

music: Suspects.

Slash Run, Washington D.C.

May 20, 2017.

... I keep a list of every concert I've ever been to, but am currently looking for a new webhost ...

BACKSTORY: There were two opening bands, but the venue couldn't give us specific set times. The ticket said the show starts at 9, but the venue said 9:30. We decided to time it to arrive by 10. When we got there, a band was setting up, and so we asked someone whether the first band had already played, and they had not. So we ended up seeing both of the opening bands. The first one had the more Suspects-sounding kind of punk, and the second one had a more NoFX kind of sound. The first one had a lot of energy from the crowd and the lead singer was really into it. He kept standing on the drums, running out into the audience, climbing on the couches, and at one point, he even got the whole mosh pit crowd-surf him around a bit! That was so much fun to watch. The venue had a weird set up where there was a huge couch surrounding the stage to cut it off from the bar area. So the mosh pit was right there and people sitting on the couch might have mosh pit people falling on them. Carolyn wore her huge boots and so she was very susceptible to falling with the slightest push. Clint ended up getting knocked over into these two girls who ended up spilling their full beers all over themselves. They seemed a bit angry, but Clint apologized and turned around and that was the end of it. We got a setlist, but we got the one that had fallen into the audience and got wet with beer so it's not complete, and is in bad shape. Afterward, we drove by Makepeace and saw a bunch of cars so we went home, regrouped, and then went back out to hang out at Makepeace from like 1:15-1:30 to 4:30am-ish. Good times!
