Das Ende von Flash schreitet voran: Google hat bereits vor einigen Monaten damit begonnen, Flash-Werbemittel im Browser Chrome zu pausieren und setzt bei seinen Ads nur mehr HTML5 ein.
Jetzt gibt der Technologieanbieter weitere Details bekannt , wie HTML5 als neuer Standard etabliert werden soll.
Noch im vierten Quartal 2016 spielt Google laut Plan Flash-Inhalte in Chrome nicht mehr aus. Kann der Browser nicht auf HTML5-Inhalte als Alternative zugreifen, wird der Nutzer gefragt, ob er Flash anzeigen will.
Diese Einstellung merkt sich Chrome beim nächsten Aufrufen der Website.
Chrome-User müssen künftig manuell wählen, ob Flash-Inhalte angezeigt werden sollen.
Ausnahme für Top-10-Seiten ...
Damit User nicht zu rasch genervt sind, macht Google bei den zehn reichweitenstärksten Websites, die Flash noch im Einsatz haben, eine Ausnahme.
Auf der Whitelist befinden sich unter anderem YouTube, Facebook, Yahoo und Amazon. Diese Liste gilt allerdings nur ein Jahr, warnt das Unternehmen.
Auf einen genauen Zeitplan für die Umstellung hat sich Google noch nicht festgelegt. Für das Blockieren von Flash in Chrome sollen noch einige Sonderregeln erarbeitet werden, bis die Änderung im Browser umgesetzt wird.

Sadly, I did not get a pic of Ponderosa, before it came down. But type in "Ponderosa, 9510 Quivira Rd, Overland Park KS" on Google Earth, and you'll see the Ponderosa, facing north. Jarred's Jewelry sits there now, facing west, it appears.

This Bing.com view shows clearly than Ponderosa (the building, if not the business) survived past the conversion of the Safeway, (By then, some other store) to a Circuit City, as the maroon entry portal is very obvious.
