Spider is around 5mm body size.

There were dozens of these burrows along the roadside. This one actually had an inhabitant lurking just inside the front door. I've since found out it's a Funnel Web Spider. I cropped this one to focus on the subject rather than the surroundings.

Seattle seems to have a lot of Spiders. I wonder how long she worked on this web.

The first misty morning of autumn gave me an opportunity to look for webs along my walk to work.

Just happened to notice this large garden spider making a web and catching insect deep in the same foliage as the grasshopper on the black pods. Detail with this lens isn't the best these days but had fun watching it for a minute and grabbing a few photos.
