When you are shooting moving wildlife with AF lenses, sometimes you miss the focus. I've noticed in the past that it can add a sense of motion, but never captured a shot where I thought it "worked". This one I liked, since she was so close.

Morning dew on a spider web

Arco Arena, Feb. 6th, 2009. The retirement of Chris Webber's #4 Jersey.

There had to have been a hundred of these tiny spider webs woven between the wires. The bright light nearby providing ample prey.

The web has lettering an homage to dear old Charlotte. It says "Scary Good" and the spider is a distant cousin to Mercer Mayer's Little Critter spider found in almost every book.
