After a day of soggy fog the sun broke through for 10 minutes before it set for the day.
Fortunately I'd nipped out down the lane and had my camera with me, right time, right place for once.
No time to mess about as the light went as quick as it came, it was gone by the time I'd fired off a couple of shots.
Straight out of camera, no time to mess. Canon 90D with my 18-135 at 135mm
Had to feel sorry for this spider, he'd just finished making his stunning web, a good foot across when a violent storm hit. High winds and rain. When I next saw him he was hanging there by a couple of threads still dripping in water but he'd re-built it by morning!

'Tis the season for overwintering spider eggs to hatch. Then they take off in the wind on gossamer strands.
Spiders Web on the top of a friends hedges, sitting there all quiet, I touched it gently but nothing popped up.
