Ants work together to get their dinner over a bench in Pai, Northern Thailand

Very big size. Not very scientific description, I know :-)

 

She was walking around outside my home.

 

C'mon! Aren't these animals just fabulous?

Here they are around what looks like some kind on pupae attached to a twig.

 

I would like to know more about this.

This tough little weaver ant was trying very hard to reach for another branch. It tried for a while without success. It then took a walk around the leave that it was on and tried again. It failed a second time. Without giving up, it walked around the leave and tried a third time. And it was successful!

Ants are everywhere. A posse of weaver ants haul away a larger ant they have overpowered.

Found these ones near Oecophylla smaragdina's pathway.

 

The biggest one is more than 1cm long.

 

I wonder what happened here. It looks like a gruesome killing of a family thing.
