We will never forget the joy of picking her up the day before this was taken...there has not been a dull moment since. Her 1st birthday is the 31st so I felt compelled to post these. omg she is so sweet.
I walked the trail in Capilano River Regional Park and appreciated the beauty of this great river.
We, the Vancouverites, are blessed as we can see all these great mountains, great forests, great rivers and great oceans!
The image is converted to B&W so that I can see the real beauty in the slow shutter captured water flow.

Happy Easter Sunday!
This is not a documentary picture. But a reminder for 2015 that we are truly blessed. We will remember and be thankful that we have so many provisions, comforts and riches that some others don't have. We will take a conscious effort to be a blessing to others wherever it is needed.
Friends, I wish you a happy, healthy and a wonderful New Year, 2015!
Finally warm enough to hike up our favorite local trail (Mount Atalaya). Obviously still some snow along the slopes, but the perfect temperature, clean air and inspirational views made it a day to remember ;-)

Miss Billie, you are too special...it is a most awesome and beautiful prayer heart that you created...wow...thank you so much!!!! Each of you that lit a candle and sent a message and in some way let me know you were thinking of us...Matthew 19:26!!! Hugs!!!
EXPLORED 10-14-09 at #201, many thanks to my wonderful Flickr friends & community for your support, kind comments, invitations, awards, visits, and faves!!! Hugs!!!
Just wanted to update all my Flickr friends on my husband's progress after his kidney transplant surgery. So far so good!! Today he had his staples removed and a drainage tube removed. He is still is some pain but is eating well his kidney so far is functioning wonderfully. Yea!!!!!! He is of course still wearing a mask and will for 6 mths., when out in groups of people and in public places. On the 10th of November he will have to have a proceedure under anesthesia to remove a stent that is in his kidney. They are still regulating meds to control everything...it is a work in progress but good progress so far. Thanks so much to each of you for your concern, kind words of support and encouragement, and most of all for your prayers!!!!! My husband has been touched by your kindness!!! He asked me to please thank each of you for him too!!! Hugs from both of us!!!
Today is a tribute to dad's.
Here is my children's daddy. a bit hidden in this image, but never far from ensuring our lil ones are safe.
He had a 5 year old little girl when I met him.
The way he loved, her, the devotion and sacrifice he showed, even when he was getting to know a new girl, it made an impression on me and I liked it. When I met T, I had been through it...you know the drill, plenty of guys that were all about the dialogue, but when I watched their feet (took me a while to learn that trick), it didn't match.
T and I are so very different...he's a slow burn, a marathon runner, so to speak...me, a sprinter who changes events weekly :) Our values are similar and frankly, he teaches me new ways to be loving...he truly does.
Such a natural athlete, supportive, dutiful, man of God. He can make a game out of two sticks and a rock :) He's also has the best voice for all sorts of sounds...animal, vehicle, voice imitations and musical instruments...it's a gift, I tell ya.
Happy Fathers day my love. Our children beam in his presence :)
And to my dad, I love you, wish we were spending the day together, and I am forever grateful to be your daughter, for all that you taught me. I have grown to appreciate and be thankful for all the ways I am like you (most of the time) :)
Peace to all and to each and every one of you today, be well, know you are loved and take a moment to soak in those that matter to you :)
Thank you to all my friends for making this such a wonderful Anniversary for Don and I !!! All the well wishes on my son and daughter`s site

We received the most lovely surprise VALENTINE in the mail, from LAUREN (cpkgirl) ...
Full of love, and from her heart. Nenetl and Ingrid were chosen for this special Holiday photo shoot ... to honor Lauren ... and because Prudence is "under the weather" right now, and Hollister is still in Florida ...
WE LOVE YOU LAUREN, and have said this on many occasions ... but it still holds true ...
This dolly / Blythe / flickr community is blessed to have YOU !!
Hope you have the HAPPIEST VALENTINE'S Day ever ... and many, MANY more to come !!
If it is indeed true, that the love you receive is equal to the love you GIVE ... YOU will be OVERWHELMED!!! :)

A lady we talked to warned us to stay away from Wink's Barbecue in Salisbury, N.C. because of some unspecified "unsavory litigation" of a criminal nature. Since barbecue was concerned, we would have ignored her unless the litigation involved murder of children (repeat offenses). A little googling suggested it was far short of that, a family been arrested for a minor victimless crime several years ago. Absolutely irrelevant except in a small town. Excellent barbecue, highly recommended.
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
