A quick shot and edit.
I've been busy lately (work and completely re-decorating my house... which is a complete tip right now) so haven't uploaded anything for a few days, which is annoying as I really want to try to upload daily or every other day.

I have received the new weapons Arealight has kindly sent and am really quite amazed.
This is a test set in teal blue, which I share to show the details. Photos better than the black ones.
Love the vibrosword and the gauntlets are much better than BF. The gauntlets have a better fit and snug up to the base of the hand nicely. I also very much like the little touches of the hollow barrel and the clip/magazine bases of Jango's pistol and the clone trooper rifle. I also like the open trigger guards with the visible triggers on several of the guns.
The reason for the increase in the use of child soldiers is also due to the nature of modern warfare : most of today 's armed conflicts are civil wars.We know so little about modern war and we are so excluded by the powers-that-be that without the commitment and professionalism of journalists we would know nothing.

Taken back in July when I rented teh 10-22...If I still had the 20D I would have bought that lens. So fun.
Those legs are weapons. In the morning she'll come to my side of the bed, sit down, and launch a paw right into my face. The bottoms are sandpaper.

So I went a bit further into the steampunk, but this time thinking outside the common "English" styled steampunk that most people think of first.
From left to right:
- An Outlands Railway Guard: The harsh tundra known as the "outlands" is a dangerous and harsh place, home only to nomads and bandit clans. However, this inhospitable place is also host to important, expansive railway networks between several countries. The trains that cross the Outlands need to be guarded heavily, and require the most proficient weaponry the industrial revolution has to offer to achieve this.
- Mountainous Scout: As the infamous Empire spreads across the lands, the nations of the northern mountain regions have started to send out scouts to make sure the Empire isn't setting up FOBs or sending their own scouts into the mountains. The development of multi-spectrum goggles has made seeking hidden enemies much easier, and amplified the ability of the already-competent hunter/trackers that these scouts are.
- Dessert Raider: As the Empire Warily creeps into south-eastern deserts, the native kingdoms retaliate by sending raiding parties to attack imperial camps. The raiders attack at night, using silent weapon such as bows, pikes, swords, etc. to kill any watchmen and set fire to supplies, sabotage transport and equipment, and kill as many people as possible. They are also known for stealing weapons and other gear from the camps they raid; useful devices and technology they wouldn't usually have access to, such as multi spectrum goggles (which help them see at night), and respiration devices (which can help manage smoke inhalation, from the fires they set).
- Nomadic Nobleman: nomads have been ever-present throughout the lands and generally kept to themselves in the past. however in the midst of the industrial revolution, various nomad clans have began to unite and form complex hierarchies. New technologies have made the life of these nomads much easier, namely the invention of steam based transports, as well as guns to better defend themselves. Despite their lack of land ownership, the United Nomad Clans have the power of a small country, and continue to grow bolder than ever before.
- Southern Principality Soldier/Guard: The Empire isn't the only powerful entity on the globe, in the tropical south regions, a thriving nation has its own distinction, with a proud culture and history, strong military might, and dominion over several other lands. With its own share of technological advancements, the soldiers of this principality are well equipped, with advanced firearms and even potent chemical weapons.
So that's that, I hope you like them!
Any Star Wars weapon we get is a good weapon, All are great for their own reasons.

U.S. Marines with Fox Company, Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines (BLT 2/1), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), conduct a Table 3 combat marksmanship course of fire as a part of sustainment training on the flight deck of the USS San Diego (LPD 22), Oct. 1. The 11th MEU is deployed with the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group as a theater reserve and crisis response force throughout U.S. Central Command and the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.

OK, I hate doing a self portrait, but managed to get it done for the OhioFoothills' challenge. Hope the rest of you get your entries in, as well. The voting can start tomorrow. Had issues with photoshop & bridge on my desktop and laptop yesterday. Couldn't upload into bridge on the desktop, and couldn't convert to dng from raw on the laptop. A close up below with some help from photoshop. GRRR!

Another section from Kai and my NINJAGO collab, and one of my favorites - I just love the colors here! Plus, as this was the first on I built, I didn't have to worry too much about parts and size, so that was definitely a plus, haha! The stone floor/pathway was a new technique for me here, but I'm very happy with how it turned out!
This is also the second largest of my sections of the collab - be on the lookout for Sensei Wu's Monastery sometime next week!

RPD
The RPD is somewhat based off of SBR variants used by Rhodesian soldiers; namely a shortened barrel, wooden foregrip, and PK-style skeleton stock. I added a cone flash suppressor because 1) it would seem somewhat useful to mask your appearance in the dark tunnels of the metro, 2) not too many small arms seem to use cone suppressors any more and I wanted to do something different, and 3) because it looks cool. Other features are the flashlight taped to the side of the hand guard, a cloth chin rest on the stock, and the custom ammo belt made from a BA gunner vest.

While in the Metro games the Duplet would be the equivalent of a double barrel shotgun, I was going more for a pre-war weapon that had been maintained over the years; but just barely. I mostly based it around a Norinco JW2000. I didn't put quite as much extra detail as the RPD. The only real "post-apocalypse-y" mod is the duct tape on the handguard and barrels (maybe to hold them together better?). I was thinking about adding a stock saddle with pouches, but never got around to it before going through with painting.
Aside from that there's a GP-5 gas mask meant for Yosif, but I really doubt it would work very well irl with a K6-3 visor. There's also a kukri standing in for a blade I'm currently working on also meant for Yosif.
A turbin, where all of life is contained. And nothing else is there save the turban, the spiral, each petal of it.
It contains all life, because it contains nothing else but herself. With no space between one petal and the other, raveled. All raveled, together, in the most perfect Spiral of Unspace.
Condensed.
But lightly, soft on one another.
No violence whatsoever.
That is being closed. Really closed.

The closed flower, the closed petals, already contain time, because their opening, their future openness, is contained in their closing. Is a consequence of it.
It is made to be that way.
Duality.
Future.
All that in a unity,
in this weapon, this turbine.
