We set out to observe Vancouver as it prepared for the 2010 Olympics. This is part of a photo journal of our observations. We focused on the newest installations in the city including: signage, pageantry and public/street art. Note: the Cygnus team were observers only, we were not involved in the Vancouver 2010 Wayfinding or signage program(s).
A destination identifier. The totally integrated system extends from digital directories and major signs down to the smallest detail, providing a seamless visitor experience from arrival by car, through parking, and to final destination.

Occupy Town Square
Hallfield by ex-Tecton architects. Not very helpful direction map, one of several on the estate which I assume are original. It's as if 1950s rationing also applied to information. The 14 residential blocks and laundry (now an estate office) were Grade II listed last year on 9/Jun/2011. The houses are named after destinations from Paddington railway station. Hallfield Estate, Paddington, City of Westminster.

Waterloo put its own series of wayfinding signs up in the downtown area in early 2012. This example is at 4th and Washington Streets, just off the Leo P. Rooff Expressway.
