I took this photo of a wax figure of Rick Genest at a Montreal street festival a few years ago. It was so life like it was insane. Rick passed away in August of 2018.
The realistic wax figure of One Direction band members sitting casually together at Madame Tussauds. The museum has over 90 wax figures of international and Thai celebreties where you can touch, hug, take pictures and selfies with. It’s very interesting and great to be able to be so close up of a replica person and amazing to see the exact measurement of the famous person. It was an ordinary rainy day so it was worth to pay a visit and meet the stars.
The "World of Wax" originally opened in 1961 in a street level location of the Crystal Garden at the corner of Belleville and Douglas. Displaying some ninety figures, this attraction establish North America's first exhibition of Josephine Tussaud wax figures from England. In April of 1971, Canada's 13th Prime Minister, the Right Honourable John George Diefenbaker, officiated at the museum's grand re-opening.
In Year 2000, the Royal London Wax Museum has an inventory of some 300 wax figures that have been sculpted in England, the most recent of which is "The woman of the Century". Decades of enhancements have gone well beyond the simple accumulation of wax figures. The multi-faceted "World of Wax" experience has been magnified not only through audio-visual technologies, but also through complementing displays such as the Crown Jewels Theatre, the World War I Field Surgical Hospital Kit, the thousand year old piece of cedar, replica sword of Genghis Khan, and original opera chairs crafted in 1987 for the Prince and Princess of Wales.
North America's first Josephine Tussaud Wax Museum remains the "flagship" establishment on the continent, and is a major contributor to Victoria's image and reputation as "A Little Bit of Olde England".

The first lady of Neato Coolville snapped a pick of me standing behind Abe and Mary at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield, Illinois in 2008. I gave the photo a sepia look and added the old time border.

All the attention went to the famous professional photographer to my left. I might as well have been invisible.

— a wax figure of the late, great singer Ella Fitzgerald
I love wax figures. I love taking their photos because they have been intentionally arranged in a very photogenic way. Wax figures help me develop an eye for portrait shots. I learned this by first watching master photographer Thomas Hawk's awesome photographs of wax figures on Flickr. And then I tried it.
Having said that, I wish Ms. Fitzgerald was looking at me.

Captain America's shield is physically indestructible under normal conditions; while cosmic and godly opponents have broken his shield, the shield proves strong enough to absorb Hulk's strength, and repel an attack from Thor's mystical hammer Mjölnir without any visible damage, and in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the shield is also shown to be able to cushion falls from great heights. Cap's Shield is also able to absorb all kinetic energy and transfers very little energy from each impact, meaning Captain America does not feel recoil or transferred impact forces from blocking attacks. These physical properties also means the shield can bounce off of most smooth surfaces, ricocheting multiple times with minimal loss in aerodynamic stability or velocity.
You can see Captain America, and his shield, at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in New York's Times Square. It's a great place to visit for locals and tourists alike!
Wounded, captured and forced to build a weapon by his enemies, billionaire industrialist Tony Stark instead created an advanced suit of armor to save his life and escape captivity. Now with a new outlook on life, Tony uses his money and intelligence to make the world a safer, better place as Iron Man.
You can find Iron Man at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in New York's Times Square. It's a great place to spend a few hours!
