It's a real shame that he has no audience...

Why don't they just call this the "you didn't screw your gas cap on tight enough light" instead? And why the @#%@# must I take it in to the dealer to pay them to reset the light for me?

Closing off George Square for "improvements" nobody wants at the sunniest time of the year when people actually want to use the square and the city is full of tourists. This was 1 week after the square got closed off and it looks like no work has done yet...well done Glasgow Shitty Council as per usual

I have been an M. Night Shyamalan fan for many years, eager for every new demonstration of his cinematic genius. On Friday night I went to see Lady in the Water. As a special treat. To reward myself for working so hard on the house, and to store up a narrative treasure on which to dwell during the long weekend hours of installing laminate flooring. Let me just sum up my reaction with this remark:

M. Night Shyamalan is dead to me.

The critics are right; he has lost his mind. Or started to believe his own press. Or something. Whatever. I want my 8 bucks back. Wait a minute -- screw that -- I want my two hours back. And maybe an apology. (The producers who coughed up $70 million would probably say, "Ha. Tell me about it.")

An utterly useless "Gift Card" that I've never been able to use. I'm not sure why I even kept it as it's been nothing but a reminder of how much I've grown to dislike the restaurant and the symbolism of a card that has value locked up in it that can never be realized just adds to the annoyance of the place.

I actually have two of these though I've misplace one because every time I've gone in to use one, something has gone wrong at the restaurant. For instance, the card reader isn't working, or the card reader hasn't been set-up at the new location, and so on and so on and so on.

I've never been able to actually use the card. In fact, the restaurant is no longer at the location listed on the card.

This initially turned into unpleasant and embarrassing situations as the first time I was meeting with friends and didn't have a lot of cash but thought it would be great because I could use the card. Not so. I had to limit my party of two to an appetizer that then came covered in cilantro (BLEH!) that wasn't listed as part of the ingredients in the menu (oh that and mushrooms seem to be all that is on offer there).

But that's how Blossoming Lotus has always been. Inconsistent, with poor service (though we did have a stellar waitress the last time we were there -- she even let us split up our checks which is a huge no-no at BL; as if those checks wouldn't be separate if we were all at separate tables... or not there at all).

Most of all, the restaurant comes with a mass of arrogance.

An example of BL brand arrogance? A friend was treated very poorly when he went to dinner on his birthday. He's a great chef in his own right but wanted to kick back that day and enjoy someone else's creations. He contacted the business the next day and their response was basically, 'where else are you going to go?'

Whoa!

That was the last straw for me. My guess is the poor service is directly related to the poor attitude and somber pall cast upon the employees by management.

But the card is going in the garbage finally since I'll never, ever be able to use it. No more holding on to the suck of BL.

More time wasters

This is an old story that just goes on and on. When will these blokes get the message?

As of this post, the "great" debate within the photog world is over the colour of a dress-blue & black/white & gold?!?!? Over vs. under exposed?!?!?
