It was a fantastic walk through the Sigmund-Thun Klamm and round the Klammsee.
The Klammsee is a reservoir, is an underground storage with a volume of 200,000 m³ and part of the power station Kaprun. The dam Bürgsperre with a height of 19 m accumulates the Kaprun Ache.
The beautiful place is located in the municipality of Kaprun in Salzburg in Austria.

I was photographing damsels at the local ponds ,when I spotted this dragonfly . I managed to follow it ,and capture some pictures after it had settled for a while. I was very pleased to find out later this was my first photo of a scarce chaser!

This was my first time to set my alarm clock to 4:50 AM on a sunday morning. I really wanted to take a picutre of this beautiful place on sunrise. As it turned out, I wasn't the only one with this intention. About ten other photographers were already there :-)
Here I met Eric Jacob (ej foto) who is also an Olympus photographer! Thank you for the nice conversation and the exchange of knowledge. Hope to hear more from you soon.

This nest was right against the wall of my bedroom and there was a constant stream of visitors which didn't appear to bother them in the slightest.

Nyborg is a city in central Denmark, located on the island of Funen. The city was founded in the 1200s, built up around Nyborg Castle.
Could not resist to preserve this arrangement. It was cold outside and these chairs are metal, so no point in hanging around for anyone to sit down. One day I´ll start shooting pictures with people in them. What else is there that is interesting really?
The Bressanone (Brixen) Cathedral was built in 980. Eventually, after two fires, the Romanesque design with its three naves and two front towers was constructed (around 1200). A Baroque design was later constructed in 1745-1754.
The Bressanone Cathedral's cloister is one of the most important monuments of art in South Tyrol. The cloister is famous in particular for its Gothic frescoes. It was originally built in pre Romanesque times but later redesigned in Romanesque and Gothic style.
A cloister (from Latin claustrum, "enclosure") is a covered walk, open gallery, or open arcade running along the walls of a building.
The attachment of a cloister to a cathedral or church usually indicates that it was part of a monastic foundation forming a continuous and solid architectural barrier that effectively separated the world of the monks from that of the serfs and workmen, whose lives and works went on outside and around the cloister.

The palace in Jankowice was built at the turn of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and its reconstruction took place in 1803 on the order of Wawrzyniec Engestrӧm (a Swedish envoy alongside King Stanisław August Poniatowski), who settled in Wielkopolska. The palace was built in the style of romanticism. It is surrounded by a park with an area of 18.6 ha. There is a pond with 4 islands and a rich tree stand with 50 species (limes, plane trees, chestnuts, oaks and others).
The palace and park complex is owned by the Tarnowo Podgórne commune, which carried out a thorough renovation and revitalization of the park in 2018.

Pałac w Jankowicach zbudowany został na przełomie XVIII i XIX wieku, a jego przebudowa nastąpiła w roku 1803 roku na polecenie Wawrzyńca Engestrӧma (posła szwedzkiego przy królu Stanisławie Auguście Poniatowskim), który osiadł w Wielkopolsce. Pałac zbudowano w stylu klasycyzmu romantycznego. Otoczony jest parkiem o powierzchni 18,6 ha. Znajduje się w nim staw z 4 wyspami, oraz bogaty drzewostan liczący 50 gatunków (lipy, platany, kasztanowce, dęby i inne).
Zespół pałacowo-parkowy jest własnością gminy Tarnowo Podgórne, która przeprowadziła gruntowny remont i rewitalizację parku w 2018 roku.
The photo was taken in the early February in 2019. It was very cold that year. Most of the Niagara Falls were frozen except horseshoe falls which flows forever. Got up early from the falls view hotel (missed that experience for the whole 2020), walking along the Niagara Pkwy in a freezing cold winter, I could feel the mist and the sprays from the horseshoe falls … The Niagara river was covered with the thick ice, I did not see like this in several years. But the power flow from the horseshoe falls was still on… it never stops! I wanted to shoot the sunrise, but the sun was blocked behind the clouds, very light morning colors. It was hard to take LE photos at -28C. The camera battery dropped quickly; the lens was covered with vapor… so difficult to capture the photos in that weather condition… Camera went on strike... My fingers hurt, no feeling, numb... itchy, then back to have feeling :))
Now stay-at-home order is still couple of days more in effect, plan to go there soon once the ban is lifted, hope to capture something new in the early morning!

while it was still dark we had gone to a simple bird hide to be there before the flocks of Meyer's parrots and African green pigeons arrive at the clay eating site at sunrise.
While we were waiting we heard some noise behind us and after a while we knew these were warthogs ( definitely safer than some other possibilities...)
The family of warthogs came closer and had picked up our scent but they had no clue where we were.
The huge male in this image was walking in front and stopped nearby to look in our direction.
You can clearly see both set of tusks of which the very sharp small ones are used for fighting other warthogs or for defense against predators. The larger ones are used for digging etc.

I was at my daughter's house last night and these raccoons came to the door, probably looking for food and warmth. Suddenly they both stood up at the same time, as though pleading. I took this shot handheld through the window - it was below freezing outside.
My photo outing got cancelled today and has been postponed to Friday, but with the below freezing temperatures and black ice on the roads, I have a feeling it won't be happening.

This photo was taken 23 minutes later at the same observation lounge of Tochou (都庁) as the previous photo.
The road marked by taller buildings toward Fujisan is National Route 20, which is also called Koushuu Kaidou (甲州街道) as the trunk road leads to Yamanashi prefecture (山梨県), and Koushuu is its old name.
Shinjuku was originally developed as a post town on Koushuu Kaidou in the Edo era. Shinjuku (新宿) means “new post town.”
It was a sunny, cold morning (12 deg F) and the pier was covered in ice and snow. The footing got more dangerous and icy the further out I walked. I was wearing ice cleats on my boots so, No Problem.

...back to the countryside again...my heart is there, after all, and I was missing it! No matter whether it's real life, second life, and I am certain even if there was a third life, I would always feel like a fish outta water if I wasn't surrounded by trees and animals and natural beauty. Lil Chow was worn out after his city adventure, so he stayed home and snoozed while Shep and I scampered off to this dream of a sim to play! Okay, I was chilling out, he was playing!
On the way home, we picked up some fresh carrots as a surprise for bunny! I can't wait to see his cute face light up when he sees them! 💕🐇🐶
