Gisteren ontdekte ik het bestaan van diverse foto-websites waar al mijn foto's, die op mijn Flickr account staan, gewoon te downloaden zijn, terwijl ik daar nooit toestemming voor gegeven heb! En ik ben niet de enige!!
Als je je settings verandert, dan verdwijnen je fotos op die desbetreffende sites.

Yesterday I noticed that there are several photo-sharing websites, who have ALL my photos from my Flickr account for free download . I never have given permission for that!
It seems I'm not the only one! If you change your settings, the photos disappear on those sites.

A dense fog warning was the forecast for the next morning. So I set my alarm clock to wake up early around 5am and headed down to this spot near the River. A walkway with some light poles that stretch for quite awhile. The Missouri River is just to the right side of the frame where there is a good size drop-off. It was eerily quiet and spooky to say the least.

Mount Warning is a mountain in the Tweed Range in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia.
Mount Warning is the central volcanic remnant of an ancient shield volcano, the Tweed Volcano, which would have been about 1,900 m (6,200 ft) above sea level or just under twice the height of the current mountain. This volcano last erupted around 23 million years ago.
This afternoon shot taken from the beach at Byron Bay, a popular beachside town located in the far-northeastern corner of the state of New South Wales.

The masked lapwing (Vanellus miles), also known as the masked plover and often called the spur-winged plover or just plover in its native range, is a large, common and conspicuous bird native to Australia, particularly the northern and eastern parts of the continent, New Zealand and New Guinea. It spends most of its time on the ground searching for food such as insects and worms and has several distinctive calls. There are two subspecies; the southern novaehollandiae has distinctive black markings on the shoulder and side of the chest, and is sometimes recognized as a separate species, the black-shouldered lapwing (Vanellus novaehollandiae). These brown-black, white and yellow plovers are common in Australian fields and open land. The masked lapwing is the largest representative of the family Charadriidae. It measures from 30 to 37 cm in length and has a wingspan of 75–85 cm. The nominate subspecies (V. m. miles) weighs 191–300 g, while the southern race (V. m. novaehollandiae) is larger and weighs 296–412 g. The birds have a wide range of calls which can be heard at any time of the day or night: the warning call, a loud defending call, courtship calls, calls to its young, and others. Since this bird lives on the ground it is always alert and even though it rests it never sleeps properly. Masked lapwings are most common around the edges of wetlands and in other moist, open environments, but are adaptable and can often be found in surprisingly arid areas. They can also be found on beaches and coastlines. 41891
Ecological Cycle: Lesson One
I took a long walk in search of shore birds along the coast of a Massachusetts beach; at the end of two miles, I stumbled across a group of gulls feeding on a seal carcass. For reasons unknown, the seal was not able to overcome his fight for survival. On the other hand, this dominant gull secures the find, fending several other gulls – the very essence of Mother Nature; call it survival of the fittest!

A lady was carrying two wonderful icecream cones when she was attacked by a seagull.
She dropped one of the ice cream cones and the seagull went after it and swallowed the whole thing in one go - icecream and cone.
It was awe inspiring. Although I am much bigger than a seagull I could not have done this ;-)
